Looking for a web site that offers houses for rent for the summer.

So what happens? We have more sickness and more deaths. Why? Because we never learn our lesson.

I agree with you 100%. I was this past Friday in a cemetery as a relative passed away. I tell everyone that the cemetery was full of fresh graves. Maybe people need to take a visit to see what happens when you are not careful.

The other issue is that people who do respect and listen to Rabbanim are in many cases not buying that this is the Rabbanims deeply held psak. Take Lakewood where few will generally go against a unanimous psak of the 4 BMG poskim, yet I have yet to see a minyan that fully confirms to the written psak. Just about every one of them I am aware of occasionally has more than exactly ten attendees. Many are on an individuals porch etc. If you were to ask Rav Felder about going on someone’s porch (someone did a couple days ago)he will tell you not to. But people don’t feel this is a hard and fast psak that is binding. Maybe it has to do with the back a forth letters and retractions. Maybe the known politics of the pro and con camps. Maybe the fact that there are well known leaders who are not on board.

Far Rockaway and five Five Towns has a similar situation. People I know who would never disobey Rabbonim have been holding driveway/ porch minyanim throughout despite the name of their Rav appearing on the letter.

The bottom line is that many people don’t view this as a bona fide binding psak from a Rav, hence the scene that is actually occurring with the backyard minyanim. Is it possible that the dynamic was similar in Deerfield, rather than a head on thwarting of the Ravs authority?
I am not saying that people are correct. I think that people that always daven with a Minyan are finding it difficult to daven alone. It is a hergesh thing, not against Rabbanim, but still wrong.

A family member passed away this past Thursday night all alone in the Hospital, which was very sad. We had a Levaya Friday on Long Island, New York. Some of the things I noticed were 2 funerals on the highway going out to the Cemeteries, Funeral going on in the cemetery and the cemetery was full of fresh dug graves. It is very important to be careful and watch your self during this Pandemic. I would like to thank @Dan for setting up this forum and for all the other good things he has done. Through this Forum I was contacted by one of the forum members @Yochi who tried to help us in the Hospital

What is the Rule now regarding how many people can attend a wedding in Brooklyn. My son told me he heard 50 people.

Problem is he said "the Jewish community". That includes all of us not just Satmars in Willi. The mayor sent the Police on a revenge mission to BP anc CH as well not just to Willi.
Sorry to say that this is all because at the Willi funeral people could not keep the distance. Another thing that this caused is that Jews were in lots of news. This is not a healthy thing.

when it's 70 and sunny. What about we we get inclement weather?
So you daven at home like most of did for the past 2 month or something like that.

If this works, hopefully other shuls can follow with social distancing. I would prefer it being outside.

Just a reminder we are still in Golus.

General Discussion / Tehilim For this Shabbos for a refuah to all
« on: April 30, 2020, 08:20:45 PM »
Last week a person who recovered from Corona asked 1000 families to say tehilim on Shabbos to storm the heavens so that everyone can have a Refuah Shlema. He ended with 1600 families. Please lets try and get the Dans Deal family to make it to 2000 families.
This is a message from the site that intiated this beautiful idea.
Due to the many requests we have received to continue Tehillim 1000, we will continue to keep the site running as a zechus for those who still need a Refuah Shleima.  Register each week from Wednesday through Friday for the upcoming Shabbos at www.tehillim1000.com/

You are at a LEVAYA for someone who DIED from it for heaven's sake!
You are 100% correct. What bothers me besides for that how much brains do you need when almost every block has Yesomim and Almonos. When some body does come out of the Hospital they sing in the street and i like those scenes. Come on you have to realize that you have to be careful.

My opinion Deblasio was wrong for singling out the Jews. We had many Funerals lately Rachmono Litzlon. The Novminsker Rebbe and the Klauzenberger Rebbitzen did not allow a Big levaya, matter of fact they had very few people. The picture from The funeral of Rabbi Mertz in Williamsburg was a Chillul Hashem. People standing shoulder to shoulder in a community that has a lot of people die that is not smart. It shows a disregard for another persons life. Who cares what the other people did in the park the day before. We have a Torah and it says Vnishmartem Lnafshsecem.
