I see you are already acting with dignity and respect on the forums. I applaud you.

(and I am assuming that this means your forfeited our wager).

I would like to open a credit card, but I have no credit history. I never had a credit card, no mortgage on my name - no credit whatsoever. I tried applying for a few cards, and I have been denied. I would like to start building up my credit. Does anyone have any idea where I can apply for a card that will most likely accept me?

In NYC, if you donít answer the ticket in a short time, it goes into judgment, which means if you want to fight it (request for hearing), you first need to give a very good explanation why you didnít answer it on time, and if the judge excepts it, then you get the right to a hearing!

So keep on voting for Blumberg and send an appreciation letter to your council member!

I have had tickets "in judgement" a number of times for a few months, it never showed up on credit report.

They want a letter on a bank letterhead stating your address and signed by a bank manager or someone with a direct extension that they can call to verify.  ::)
Most Banks have no idea or no interest in getting involved!  >:(
My suggestion is to write up a draft for the Bank employee to work off!
Good Luck
and as always YMMV!
Most people do not get it right on the first try!
I guess it also depends on which CSR receives the letter!

The letter is not clear that you need to send in the original letter head from the bank, it seems to say that you can either mail or fax it in, first i faxed a number of times, then i sent with fedex, each time they had a different glitch and a different story, still working on it.

@mimi- u wrote previously amex asked for confirmation of address from bank.  they did that to me to and i mustve sent it 4 different letters from TD and every time i called after they said something else was missing in the letter.  in short everyone in amex says something else should be on letter.
did you send in a letter? if yes what bank bec TD is giving me a hard time giving me letters..they say they dont give letters and they dont sign them,..i got them to stamp it..wasnt good enough for amex.
i have applied for plat and gold around 2 months ago and still dealing with letter of confirmation and a 4056T...nothing is good enough for amex. the only reason why im still trying is bec i got preselected for 100k points on plat and 50k points on gold

I had a similar experience with the bank letter, everyone you speak to tells you something else. still not resolved

What in the blue h... are you talkin about?

When my nyc parking tickets are left unpaid for some time, when i go into the website to check it says "in judgement" i thought that is what you are referring too.

Do you mean the court issued a judgement that you have to pay and you did not pay?

it's in judgment status means to decide if you need to pay the ticket or not, it's not a like a court judgement that you owe a credit card company money.

I called about my Citi AA MC's $95 annual fee and they offered me 5 miles per dollar spent for the next 6 months up to 20k miles, so if I spend 4g and get 20k AA miles.

Just got the same exact offer, other option was to swtich to bronze card with no annual fee. took the 5 miles per dollar

A month ago I rented at Sixt in Europe, the agent and manager outright refused to accept my cc insurance.
which country

Generally a wink is pretty good indication that something is being said in jest.

I was using the app on my cell phone and i may be wrong but i don't think the wink showed up on my cell or i did not notice it.

You really need to get your sarcasm radar checked out.

I did not read the thread and mis-understood the context of what he was saying, perhaps i over reacted because of my economic experiences in 2008

do you get things for cheaper at certain stores? Government workers can't control taxes but cops have the right to let you off with a warning

Is there no difference between getting a discount in a store, and public officials applying the rule of law differently to people based on their possession of a plastic card?
