Thanks, Yehoshua.

not only did Zazou close, the last time I was in the 9th it was boarded up and there was a picture of a hangman and anti-semitic graffiti all over it. The 9th gets less Jewish every time I visit.

certainly doable. Figure 45 minutes to an hour for passport control and waiting for the train, and let's say you want to be back 1 hour before your flight. That means you should calculate 1.5 hours each way not including getting to and from Paddington, our of 7 hours that means 4 free in the city.

If you want to do public transport all the way: take the heathrow express to Paddington, then get on the Hammersmith and City line (underground) to Baker St. At baker St. transfer to the Jubillee line to Westminster, and you're at Big Ben. Should take about 15 minutes. Or take a cab as suggested.

Have a 7am-11pm scheduled stop-over in Paris and would like to leave hand luggage at airport. Both in and out of terminal 2E. Planning to train into city and taxi back.  Is anyone familiar with the current left luggage facilities - will it be time consuming logistically?

shouldn't be time consuming but it's expensive (15 euros per bag, which is just outrageous), and remember that they close at 9.30 PM, so you'll have to be back a little early. You might want to consider left luggage at Gare Du Nord, if you're taking the train into the city. Out of curiously, why taxi back? Often the trains are faster because of the horrible traffic in the city...

still working for me. Ordered a few with screenshots, not hopeful but let's see what happens.

Just spoke to the guy I know who out in cash. He hasn't gotten anything back. He's still convinced the whole thing is legit. Trying to explain to me that there is the guy from monsey who went to LA and then to Paris and verified the whole thing. And he can't be lying....
@Emkay is the monsey guy the guy you know? name starts with an S?

Yeah, because we all know Paris is where the real money is.

Round 2 is starting, right here right now.

I'm offering the same terms as they did. Plus, you get an extra 400% if you agree to extend the payment period by an extra month.

Stop trying to play people for suckers! I'll double it, 800%  :)

I meant I'm not going up the Eiffel tower

In Paris they say the nicest thing about the Tour Montparnasse is that you don't see the Tour Montparnasse from there.

I see that Heathrow Express has a promo code DUO12 that gets 2 pax RT tix for 50GBP As opposed to a regular RT being 34GBP pp. That the best way to get to London? My hotel is a 5 min taxi/15 min walk from the Paddington station (seems like the only place Heathrow Express lets off).

It's certainly the fastest way. You can also take the regular's cheaper but takes a lot longer.

I've had instant approvals from Israel before. doesn't matter where you apply from
also had instant approvals from israel, along with reconsiderations. I don't think it makes a difference, but if you're worried, use a proxy.

Not the best idea for a single girl

not the best idea for anyone. First of all, you'll waste a lot of time. Second, people don't stop as often as they used to. Third, as said above, not so safe, especially for a tourist who can't easily judge what's going on....should i continue?

I second the advice to stay away from hostels. Not a good idea.
Under $25 a night will be tricky, but airbnb seems the way to can probably get a room in an apt. for a reasonable price, it will also be safer and it's always a nice experience to meet locals (well, not always, but most of the time...)

As for staying in a kibbutz, many have guest houses but they're not cheap anymore. Additionally, most of the kibbutzim that have them are nowhere, you'll be stuck there if you don't have a car.
