General Discussion / Re: Car Lease v. Buying
« on: July 12, 2020, 05:25:27 PM »
With minivan leases sky high now, I'm thinking of financing a used few-year-old car. any leads on where I can find a trustworthy dealer?

hi guys,
I missed a 1099-INT upon filing... I already got and cashed the fed and NY state refund.
I used H & R online software (free version). They allowed me to prepare a 1040-X, and prepared the paperwork for me to send in. They even prepared a payment slip to send the IRS.
My question is what to do about the NY refund. I can see how much they overpaid (by comparing what they sent me to what the software shows now) but I'm not sure if they did the paperwork for NY... they didnt prepare any payment slip...
they did include an ERO which has the new amount.. does that mean they filed it electronically? if yes, how do I go about making the payment?

anyone know what to do? do I must fill out manually a IT-201X (the H&R software doesnt do it for me)?
or can I just send NY a check for the overpaid amount, using this link

Check out the Rodo app/website

Don't waste your time on roto. I got my current lease from honcker (great deal BTW) but their current business model is horrible. Basically adds $2,000 towards money down for any lease.

Iím told you can donate plasma as long as you have any amount of antibodies. My question is what the avg amount of antibodies ppl are getting-it seems to vary wildly. My parents had the virus (father worse than mother) and I never showed  any symptoms Baruch HaShem. My father got 216 antibodies and I have 17. It seems weird though bc my brotherís father in law who had the virus has 2800 antibodies... is there a pattern here or what?
Also depends on how long passes since you recovered. After time, the amount goes down (as per a nurse)

random question. was approved for 60k loan at 2.5 for 30yrs, differed first 12 months.
don't really have any specific need for it right now... an idea popped up in my head, and want to hear others' thoughts.
what do you think about using the money to buy a minivan (until now we've been leasing).. would that be allowed according to the rules?
we've been having a hard time getting approved (most banks dont like biz lease applications)

Yes, with old style I meant cloth covered, and where the wires are screwed in front of the switch.

It is brittle, I see that already without digging in much.

Is replacing outlets and switches from an old house - the old types of switches, a straightforward job, Or requires an electrician?
(I've replaced many outlets in the past, but not from the old style)

Why not have live web-cams in each room, so that
A. Paitiants can think they're being watched by lived ones, which will boost their moral.
B. Family can check in with the paitiants, and boost their own moral and hopes.
C. Nurses will know their is accountability, they are or might be being watched.
D. Hospital directorship can ensure their staff are working properly.

Just got 18 dozen eggs delivered from Target via shipt. $1.49 / dz

is there anything in the confirmation email?
BTW, many of the order status/ confirmation emails from various companies are interactive emails. Meaning that the sender can change the content even after it was sent.
Home Depot is an example.

Now that I'm nearing the 72 hour fever-clean mark, and based on leading US consensus that one doesn't get it twice, can we open a "survivors" minyan?

You are right, but what about parents who are out of work due to the situation. How do you expect them to pay tuition?
Takeh a shailah...
Whomever can get Unemployment should apply asap
