Credit Cards / Re: which card should I use for purchases over 20k

The only card in there that I see that might have a good spend threshold is the Starwood, and it would have to be the Luxury one. If you charge $75k on that, you'll get Marriott Platinum.

Otherwise, yeah, get a Freedom Unlimited or a 2% card like the Citi DoubleCash.

Laughable that they even bother spotlighting the day.

"We're taking higher than average fees from these local small businesses! Come help us profit!"

Great deal for moving some static IRA holdings over.

All depends on each ones preferred use...

Yeah, sure, but I have yet to see or find someone who prefers TY points.

But still not a ton of value. Not like Amex or Chase points (given the right cards).

Sounds like a honeypot.

dont assume that you will get platinum for previous spend.

Too late!

I know this isn't a guarantee, but if you look here:

You'll find:

No upgrade offer for me.

I assume it's because I spent $75K earlier this year on my consumer SPG Amex in anticipation of getting this card and getting Platinum for 2019. So Amex knows that, and knows I'll upgrade. Why give me a bonus?

It's possible that they've already opened one for you, years ago.

Didn't even notice it was MMS again.

One credit card signup, and itís worth killing any deal for Mr. Bowtie and company.

Let's hope the smart people at Plastiq will figure out how to recode and make this work again.
