Thanks @aygart @henche @Sport @ushdadude !!! BBBR was fantastic!

I never really believed people that ate at Backyard BBQ and said, meh I can do better at home. Until now. I used just an electric smoker, no meat thermometer, and first attempt, and it was really good. I could only imagine what someone with a real smoker and been doing this a while, can do.

One mistake I made was I over trimmed the fat on one of the brisket pieces I think. Also I tried a different rub for the bigger piece because I thought family wouldn't like spicy, but BBBR was perfect and the other one was ok...

Both just going in:

BBR:

Adding this one too, even though it only came out ok:

Looks really good.

You want to blow your mind? Get a short rib from grow and behold.
After the tenderloin I got from bisra, the gbh shirt ribs that I smoked were the best meat I have ever had.
3 ribs at about 3 lbs total raw. I thought it would not be enough for me and the wife but they are so incredibly rich that there was even leftovers. We couldn't finish it.it was absolutely incredible!

Isn't equal part salt too salty for kosher meat that has been salted already?
No. Common misconception. Salting for kasher is Maybe an hour. Doesn't really sink in.
Salt penetrates an inch a DAY so kasherong has basically minimal impact.

I tried making a claim with my Bonvoy Business card and they denied it. They called me and told me it no longer had the benefit. I tried claiming ignorance to see if they’d make an exception but they wouldn’t.

On the plus side, there are still two no annual fee cards that have this benefit. I was unsure whether the Amazon cards had the benefit because, despite being listed on the page with other cards with the benefit, when you click the button to view the terms it shows you the terms for purchase protection, not return protection. However, my wife got a replacement business Prime card in the mail the other day and included in the paperwork was a document dated the day the card was mailed explaining the return protection benefits which I’ve obviously scanned and then put away with other important documents just in case.

Last week I had a claim approved for a pair of shoes for a little under $300 and they did not ask me to send them in.

This was shared by my rabbi, Rabbi Jeremy Donath on our shul whatsapp group.

"I know many people here have been looking at ways for kaddish to be said for loved ones...

Rabbis of the Nahal Haredi organization have embarked on a vital initiative for this difficult period - helping all Jews in Israel and the Diaspora to say Kaddish for their deceased family members by holding the last remaining "Minyan" in Israel - in the Nahal Haredi unit.
Netzah Yehuda Soldiers, who spend over a month at a time at the Nahal Haredi army base, are allowed to hold communal tefillos, since after two weeks without any outside contact there is no chance of infection (alongside adherance to all directives).

Rabbis of the organization approached the soldiers to say Kaddish due to the enormous pain of many who are unable to say Kaddish at this time.

Reactions to the venture around the world (and the United States specifically) have been exciting.
Rabbi Schwartz - Father of a Haredi fighter in the Paratrooper Company says: "In the last few weeks I am lost because I cannot say Kaddish for my mother, and then my son offered to say Kaddish in his unit. It revitalized my soul and made me feel that I perpetuated my mother by the important Kadish of the soldiers."
Anyone interested in having Kaddish said for a deceased relative or loved one, please contact us at:

You'd get a quicker answer checking the terms. Cards that don't have updated terms which say they ended 12/31

Data point
My wife got FR. Submitted docs but didn't have enough supporting biz income and nasty b****h said even if personal income supports personal cards if biz isn't sufficient they'd shut down.
I said ok let's see what happens. 35 days later I get an email that all accounts are shut. No phone call for heads up or email. Just shut.
I thought it is better to close myself but most indications I read are That it raally doesn't matter.

Not 48 hours (may have been 24)after the email came I figured what the hell and applied for a bcp for my wife, and son of a bitch, she got approved within minutes. (I accidentally entered my ssn and not hers, so I got message to call, have correct ssn d she was approved). No hard pull and card came in 4 days and I was off to the races.
I then applied for her for EDP and got pending app and then approval email 10 minutes later.

Me, otoh, I preemptively shut down my cards and when I applied they requested 4506t and then also did hp but I think thays cuz it was over 30 days since I had closed my cards.
The moral? Send in 4506t and if you get shut due to business income you should be good to immediately get new personal card after closure.

Yeah
I would avoid calling to spend more S that triggered requests for financial documents in order to evaluate my needs. I later got an f/R and not sure it's connected at all but any time you get eyes on is no good. Especially if you do m/s or don't have true business income.

After afew big unusual swipes today, I received the following email.. can this trigger a F/R?

"We have noticed purchase activity on your account referenced above that is higher than your usual spending levels. The balance on your account is approaching a level where we may not be able to approve additional spending on your account.

Want to spend more?
Call Us & Pay Now
OR
Increase your spending power
"
Is it a business card?
