Will I have enough Transfer time?

Tue, Apr 5 2016, British Airways 174, 6:55 pm 6:55 am+1,

Wed, Apr 6 2016, Qatar Airways 6, 8:00 am 4:55 pm

Please advise!

Forgot to add. I would be booking both flights via AA Awards over the phone. Not sure if that results in two separate tickets, or not.

Booking on one ticket or separate tickets?

What are the flight details? I can check for you.

Post here next time.

What is the minimum amount of time I need to transfer from LHR T5 to T4?

Found first class availability but selecting it would give me an hour to transfer.

Length of stay question:

Is 3 nights in the Maldives enough for someone who keeps kosher and snorkels, but doesn't Dive? Please note: I wont arrive at Conrad Maldives until around 6/7PM on the first night and then depart at 6/7PM on my departure day to make a 10PM flight - so I'm only looking at 2.5 days of actual relaxation. Also note, I am an active person and can't "tan" for more than 30min-hour before I start losing my mind. Other info of note: I'm flying Business on Qatar's new A350, so shouldn't be too jet-lagged.

I have ability to extend 1 or 2 days, but this would mean skipping a 2 night stay at W Hong Kong, which I kind of want to do. However, I don't want to do Hong Kong if it means I'm going to regret not spending more time at the Maldives.

Please advise!

why not A?

Wasn't sure if Singapore Airlines offered better flight experience or something. I'm just trying to avoid mistakes by asking.

Does a layover in either city account for anything?

Layover would be under 3 hours in both cases

Need some advice please on which option you more experienced travelers would recommend:

Option A: MLE - HKG Business on Cathay, then pay out of pocket or use BA points for economy shuttle from HKG - CNX? (I've read that I can add HKG-CNX as part of a single reward booking, but when I talk to AA they try to route be through BKK?)

Option B: MLE - SIN Business on Singapore, then SIN - CNX Business on Tiger Air? Please note will pay out of pocket purchase of ~10K KrisFlyer + $402 in Taxes/Fees

Option A is clearly cheaper, but happy to pay more for a better experience or shorter flight. Also, I'm seeing that availability is easier to find on Option B. Just don't have time to check both that often and want to pick a path and stick to it.

That

And why would you call Visa not Citi?

Meant to say Citi. My bad.

So by "That" - to be clear - you mean she was wrong?  How long to post then?

How soon after I meet the $2K spend will my HHonors points post?

I called Visa and they said at the END of the 3 month spend period. This strikes me a crazy given that I've met the spend today and the end of the spend period would be late February.

Someone please tell me the lady had no idea what she was talking about!

I called right after i got emails for each one.

Is this a case where you changed the ticket and then called to cancel, or did the airline changed something?

Would like to cancel tickets without the $200 fee.

$100 Reward via Paypal for assistance here. AJK can vouch for me.

Trying to get from NYC to New Zealand round trip using AA points. My wife and I have just over 145,000 AA a piece.  I'm getting out of the points game and want to go out with a bang, but I don't have the time or the energy to find the right routes. I know the LAX-SYD route via Quantas is impossible. My wife and I are very flexible.

Free advice is great, but $100 goes to the person who recommends a round trip route that results in a reservation. Route standards:
1. Includes a "top 2" 1st class experience for anything in excess of 8 hours. If necessary, we are happy to do business anything <8hrs>3hrs, and we will do economy for any flight less than 3 hours
2. 3 weeks in NZ
3. Preference for End of Feb-March, but may accept anything that works since we have our hearts set on NZ.

Feel free to message me directly.
