It really depends on what airlines your flying.

You can't combine points, but you could transfer MR to AC, SQ, ANA which they can put you on the same flights as UA can.

Before you do anything, maybe give a break down on what airlines you're trying to fly and your points balance so we can help you out.
Thanks for that quick response! My dates and even itinerary are not set yet as I'm not looking to travel for about a year. But with award availability generally opening 365-330 days in advance I want to get my ducks in a row ahead of time. So just trying to get a general feel for what I consider to be a rather difficult booking as I would be coming from 2 separate points systems...

This may be a dumb question, or this may be the wrong thread, so forgive me if so in advance!

I am looking to book 2 award tickets on Star Alliance USA-SE Asia. Problem is I have my miles split about 50/50 into UR and MR. Is there a way to "combine" these into one itinerary, either by getting them all into one program or booking the same itinerary on via two separate star partners? If it costs me a little more in fees or miles that's OK as long as it's not exorbitant...THANKS!

What is the usual timeframe for Request --> Invitation for GoBank? Not so patiently waiting...!

What's a good routing for US to Thailand? Looking to spend about 2 weeks in SE asia, hopefully Thailand and maybe somewhere else (Vietnam?). Thinking Star Alliance as it will allow me to add a couple destinations on 1 ticket, EG

Can spend a couple days in Tokyo, then move around a bit in Thailand and elsewhere for a week+. Any recommendations? I know this is Thailand thread but certainly others have hopped a little on their trips?

of course, but then I lose 1000 in free spend!

Searched the thread but couldn't find an answer. Hopefully someone can answer or point me to the post that does (sorry if this is a duplicative question!)

Is there a way to use multiple payments (GCs) at Wal-Mart to load BB either at the ATM or the MoneyCenter? I have been using $500 GCs, one transaction at a time, up to 2 transactions = $1000 per card without issue. But now I have 10 $100 Gift Cards (bought @ OM). Doing 10x BB transactions is not going to fly at the MoneyCenter or the ATM. Can I do 2x$500 transactions and pay each $500 transaction with 5x$100 GCs? Anyone have experience here?

Or alternatively, I am all ears as to a better way to liquidate 10x$100 GCs!

Personally, i am stockpiling HH points and AA/BA points for my trip.
Thanks for your advice. Heavy fees on AA/BA, aren't there?

Planning a trip to Thailand in 2014. Can anyone recommend the best points system to get there and for local flights if necessary? Have some time to stockpile and want to get the right currency...

Correct. Any advice on the Bold? What about pulls (if I wait a few weeks)?
I had a similar situation. First call, approved IB. Second call, no movement. Third call, referenced second call, I said second call wanted me to move some credit around to approve IP (half true), CSR offered to approve if I closed another biz line.

This was all early Monday so I may have gotten lucky with the timing in that many are now reporting strict CSRs with the likely influx of apps. GL

Was it approved or denied?
Sounds like it was initially denied but recon approved it after some cajoling.

That's great.  Maybe you've got the golden tongue.  Maybe you've got a good strategy for what to apply for.  Maybe G-d loves you more than him.   ;D

The point is that not everybody is going to have an easy time doing it, and even if they do it's generally more efficient to wait a bit longer and do another AOR, because it's better to have 6 pulls in January than to have one per month Jan-Jun.  Because on July 1 if you did it the first way, you've got 0 pulls in the past 6 months while if you did it the second way you have 5.
Is the 6 month rule generally applicable for "number of recent inquiries?" So are 6-month intervals between AORs about the right spacing? Better to do 6 pulls 1/1, then 6 7/2, etc. or say 3 pulls 1/1, 3 pulls 4/2, 3 pulls 7/3, etc.?

Paying your bills in full doesn't do much good if the statement closed with a high balance.
Because the high balance gets reported on your credit? So is it better to pay off balances just before the statement closes rather than wait until the "due date?" If so, how long does it take for this to cycle through the credit report? EG let's say I pay my balances off in full every month on or just before the due date. You are saying this is bad practice because it shows high utilization even though I am paying in full (if I understand your post). If I switch to paying off in full before the statement closes (thus showing $0 balance on all cards) will this be reflected immediately on my credit reports, or at least immediately after I make the first payment using the earlier timeframe? Or how long after?

I have now HUCA 6 times.  only the last one asked for name/ss.  Im guessing they will now!
Mine also referenced an earlier call I made. I said the earlier rep wanted me to move around CL to get IP approved (true) after the 2nd rep said 1st rep told me declined and couldn't be approved. 2nd got it approved after closing another card and transferring CL.

Tried searching DDF and reading the t&c of the offers, but can't find this info anywhere: is there a fee for adding authorized users to either ink bold or plus?

5/bm for Chase personal/business will it result in one pull. If your answer is "YMMV" don't bother.
My understanding is personal and biz are always separate pulls. So at least 2.
