Well, did she sign up for a monthly charge?
I have had pretty good luck with these kind of bills. Sometimes there is an issue of timeliness on the earliest bills. Don't neglect HUCA.

From experience, after six months to a year of not meeting the spend target, you'll get an email from El Al saying they've noticed, and if you don't make up the difference by such and such date, all the ancillary benefits will cease (preferred seating, etc.).  I believe the card will still earn at 1:190, but not sure if you'll still have access to the lower FlyCard/Executive redemption levels.
i suspect there is a rather hefty monthlyfee for those not meeting tje threshold. It should be in the fine print.

Only one of your cards should close with $2 on it. The rest should report $0. See more in the thread about the $2 trick.

is there a way to stop a check on capital one 360 checking when their customer service is closed.
Also, has anyone had any success in getting them to waive their fee on it?
I am pretty confident they will waive it. Their custoner service is excellent. They once refunded  a charge I disputed two years later. I would definitely HUCA if you do not get the desired result at first.

I stumbled across a non-public offer via an ad for the Fly Card Premium (full MasterCard, not the Diners/MC combo) offering no fee first year and 200 point SUB.  If you're in Israel and looking for a solid card (by Israeli standards), this is definitely the best-ever sign up offer.   Nice to see a little innovation going on in this market...

And if I already have the "regular" flycard?

Hey Guys,

I have tried opening a few credit cards in the past (Chase prefered, freedom and Discover Student) and have been denied for all of them. I was able to get approved for a Capital One Platinum in October. I have been using it since then and trying to build up my credit score and limit (I am currently at $200 available credit). I am using my Capital One card to hopefully build some credit so that I can pivot to a better card -- one with more benefits and bonuses. My score on Capital One has been good until last week. I was at roughly 660 until my score dropped 72 points in one day and now I am in the 590 range. I believe the score went down due to my student loans although I know many people who have student loans who have not seen such a dramatic decrease.

My questions are :
1) is there anything I can to get my score back up? A 72 point drop is massive!
2) what would be the best card to move to next with strong benefits that I would be likely to get approved for? When is best time to apply for said new card?

Any input would be great!

Thanks
Go to credit karma they will show you for free what the issue is. Likely culprits are a missed payment or increase balance on your account going from 10 % to 40% could do that. To builld up your credit score open up a department store card and pay it off responsibly.

You'll get a leg up

I almost never use Priceline 1) their cutoff is 11PM EST. 2) no rebate on bookings as with Orbitz 2% stackable  for future hotel bookings 3) Priceline CSR's are unforgiving,  unlike Orbitz where you often can get a $25 coupon as a payment for your troubles when there are issues. Also, after you make a booking on Orbitz you can go in and see the deadline for free cancellation and take a screenshot in case you're paranoid about the cutoff time.

How long does United hold for? And can you change payment method and book online later?

Also can you explain how that orbitz policy gets you that long?
They don't actually state it, but I've done it over a hundred times due to "next business day" I use it in particular if the date is far away  and I want to protect against a price increase. Yes, you can change payment method later, length of hold YMMV. Unlike AA holds, with  United you then have another 24 hours to cancel. A United rep actually told me about this when I was having trouble making a reservation because of a glitch in their system. It's a work around to get a reservation PNR they need your PNR to help you with your reservation which you haven't even paid for yet! Also, use Google Flights to find the price, the United site doesn't give the lowest prices, but the United reps can see the lower price generated by Google Flights

United EWR to TLV is 85K points or around 930 dollars.
I need special permission to get in (birh of grandkid exception).
I also need permission from work from Israel while being quarantined.
Would you use points which have 125 redeposit fee or get a 1 year credit of fare?
If you book on Orbitz Thursday after midnight PST  you have until Monday night at 11:59 PST for free cancellation you also can book on United and use alternative  payment methods and state you are paying at the airport they will hold the ticket without payment

Its Sohar, if you ever see a meal from Stogel I would really consider it twice before eating it!
Why? its kosher l'Pesach all year round, my Rav said I could leave it around my dog when he has a fast day
