And why are flights originating in Israel cheaper then from the US?
Because Americans can afford more expensive tickets

Price segmentation.
Businesses love to do that. Get the people who can pay more, to pay more while still letting the people who need to pay less, pay less. Not a perfect science but airlines segment passengers into business travelers and leisure travelers where the former can typically afford higher fares than the latter. They try to segment the two by using weekend stays and last minute bookings as differentiatiors. Not a perfect method but it works for the most part.

Normal pricing for CLEAR is $179/year, but if you link your Delta or United mileage number you will pay $119/year.

If you have a Chase United Explorer card, Chase United Explorer Business Card, Delta Business Gold, Delta Business Platinum, Delta Business Reserve, Delta Consumer Gold, Delta Consumer Platinum, or Delta Consumer Reserve you can pay $109/year.

Delta and United Silver/Gold/Platinum elites also pay $109/year.

Delta Diamond/360 and United 1K/Global Services elites get CLEAR for free!
So if you HAVE a United Explorer card you can use the $100 credit towards the $109 Clear membership? Ie, you don't have to actually pay for Clear with the Explorer card, correct?

Trip Reports / Re: Aerial Dag's trip to Tanzania & Rwanda

Unfortunately, Real safari experiences are scarce here on DDF. Just wondering what draw you back to the safari and what is Zimbabwe offering over Tanzania and the Serengeti?
True they are! I'm here to help any way I can.
Well my first trip several years ago was to Tanzania and Rwanda. What drew me back was the sheer magnificance of seeing these animals. Nothing I've ever done has compared to it. When we decided to go back, we wanted to spend a week in Seychelles so we thought it made sense to go to southern Africa. Based on the time of year and camp site availability (we booked just a few weeks before we left), Zimbabwe made the most sense. Plus we wanted to see Vic falls.
I'm not sure Zimbabwe offers anything over Tanzania but the variety of animals is different as is the environment. But if I had to choose I would say Tanzania was much better, especially if you go during the migration.

I was just looking through some old TRs and I saw this really awesome one but still not complete for some reason despite:2 years later
Yes, sorry I do not think this TR will ever be completed. I recently went to Zimbabwe and have awesome pics from there but just not going to happen. I would be happy to answer any questions people have.

Credit Cards / Re: Citi To End Price Rewind Program On September 22nd, 2019

to answer my own question: yes
Good bye Citi Prestige  :'(
I know the card wasn't promoted very much here, but I used all the benefits except the 4th night hotel
It's really bizarre that they would gut these benefits on a premium card. The card still potentially has some benefits if you stay at 2 expensive hotels a year and the pricing works well with their portal but agreed that this card has basically turned into crap.

I went there many times in the past, not this time.
Ever go with the official guides? I'm thinking about booking the 6 hour official museum tour.

If you are interested in a bit more than just visiting kevarim in Krakow and would like to see and learn a bit about the city check out:
We had Big Tom/Tomasz as our guide, a trained historian and an awesome guide. He spoke fluent English, was very engaging, entertaining and very knowledgeable about his city. The walking tour was almost 3 hours, so it may be difficult to do with small kids. You tip at the end.
We also went for a Jewish tour with the same company (different guide), it was also nice, but considering that I knew everything they had to say on that tour I found the old city tour more educational.
Anyway, if you are in Krakow find Big Tom and say hello, he was great.
(fyi: the walking tour did not go into any of the churches)
Sounds great! I've found most tip only walking tours in Europe to be pretty good.
Did you visit Auschwitz? I'm going in September and considering hiring a driver/guide.

Does anyone have the "Guide to Benefits" for this card? I can't seem to locate the PDF for it. Trying to figure out what's covered for a trip delay.
