General Discussion / Best and safest way to buy/sell on DDF
« on: November 10, 2020, 05:15:21 PM »
When transactions occur between people on an anonomous online forum like DDF where members may not know each other (or even if they do...), things can go wrong. Retracted e-payments after receiving the item, bounced/cancelled checks, not sending the item, etc.
Beyond getting references or having people vouch for each other - regarding method of payment, what are some of the ways you protect yourself when engaging in this type of transaction? An in-person transfer of goods with a cash payment sounds like the safest option, but isn't always practical. There's Paypal, Zelle, QP, check, lots of different options. Thoughts?
