General Discussion / Jewish camp list
« on: July 06, 2020, 08:37:22 AM »
I'm trying to compile a list of all of the Jewish camps, both day camps and sleepaway camps, in the tristate area. Does anyone have any existing lists, even partial lists or just lists of camps in one particular area? With contact info would be great, but even just names of camps would be helpful.

And if you don't have a list, it would be great even if you can just write the local camps in your area.  :)

Thanks!

Schools, daycares, and playground are closed. April 1st is tomorrow. Should people be paying full tuition regardless?

This is obviously going to depend on many factors, but share your thoughts here!

A friend just launched a new product on Amazon, and is willing to give several away in exchange for a review, etc.

At the moment, she is looking for people to buy from outside NY/NJ/CT.

Here's a link to the product: PM if interested, and please include the state you'd place the order from.

Tech Talk / Time sensitive - Anyone know the ZTE ZMAX 2 well?
« on: July 15, 2016, 05:43:19 PM »
Sorry for starting a new thread, but it is pretty important and time-sensitive. My wife is a few days overdue and I want to set up my phone to have her doctor on speed dial if I need to call the Dr. on Shabbos. I want to try to minimize phone usage on Shabbos. Does anyone know how to set the phone that it will not turn off automatically when charging? I want to leave it plugged in, but when it charges the screen goes black and I don't know how to change it. Google hasn't been too helpful (to me).
TIA!

General Discussion / Buying a Bike
« on: June 19, 2016, 08:39:36 PM »
So I just got this thing in my head that I want to take up biking. It's great exercise, and I used to love it as a kid. Im interested in road biking, not mountain biking. My first step is to get a bike, but those in the know tell me not to waste my time with anything much below $600-700. I dont mind spending that kind of money, but it's a big investment for something that may last a week or two and burn out.
Any suggestions? Is there any way to rent a bike for a month or buy a decent used one? Where do I start?
Thanks!

Anyone out there who has a PhD, PsyD, or have a MS in School Psychology (or currently in school)? I have some questions, and it would be very helpful if I can find someone here currently going through it.
Thanks!

General Discussion / Where do you buy Yom Tov clothes for your kids?
« on: September 07, 2015, 03:27:48 PM »
My wife has the same problem every Yom Tov - she wants to buy nice clothing for my 18 month old son, but the Frum stores in NY/NJ are usually pretty expensive. She shops quite a bit online, and ends up working it out, but I would love to hear if anyone knows of any websites that sell nice dress clothing for children at reasonable prices, like Zara, H&M, etc.
