I need to move 2 trailers from one part of a parking lot to another. I'm having a difficult time finding someone with a cab who can move them for me. Anyone have any suggestions, or know of a company that does a small job like this?

Anyone who does homework with their kids has experienced the feeling of ineptitude at some point, especially with the new way they teach math. Today my daughter came home with the pictured question and I couldnt figure it out.

Does anyone have experience bringing a Torah into the US? Someone I know is bringing a Torah from Israel into the US for a not for profit org. Does he needs to declare it, and if so how would he avoid paying duty as he is bringing it in for a not for profit? TIA

General Discussion / Basement sewage pump- issues with shabbos

I'm looking for creative advice.
 I have a bathroom in my basement that uses a pump to get rid of the waste water. Every time the toilet is flushed it activates the pump causing an issue of psik resha on shabbos.  It will cost me north of $2,000 to replace the system with a Shabbos friendly one, so for the time being that option is off the table. Anybody have a similar issue, I'd like to hear how did you work around it? Or if anyone has a creative solution that will work with in the framework of halacha.

General Discussion / Installing smart thermostat with no "c" wire

Anyone have experience switching a "g" to "c"?
My old thermostat doesnt have a "c" wire.  Honeywell recommends switching the "g" to the "c". In order to do that I need to move the wire in the ac untit that is currently in the "g" terminal to the "c" terminal. The problem I'm having is there is already 2 wires connected to the "c" terminal.
