Just Shmooze / Dan's Next Job?
« on: August 23, 2016, 08:30:46 PM »
Sure some will turn off their SMS, but many more will join and contribute to this being a business that can survive in a post credit card world where most other blogs will fold.

I hate to ask this, and don't mean to sound negative, but do you really want to spend the rest of your life posting amazon gold box deals in a post credit card environment? Wouldn't a normal job pay better and be less stressful? You do seem to have strong working skills. Is being able to work on the go and pack out on a moments notice essential?

Credit Cards And Finance / Shoprite discontinuing variable load GC?
« on: June 10, 2016, 01:45:25 PM »
A friend of mine was just in shoprite in Brooklyn (a friendly location),  and saw no variable VGCs on the shelf. He asked the manager, who said that they were being discontinued, and were pulled from the shelves. This order supposedly came from corporate yesterday, and applies to all locations. The manager didn't know why, but says it has something to do with money laundering.

Deals/Deal Requests / Free $25 on Samsung
« on: December 13, 2015, 06:02:40 PM »
Disclaimer: I'm not getting involved in the ethics of this; just reporting that it works.
When you sign up for a Samsung account, one of the things they ask you for is your DOB. Although this may seem pretty irrelevant, Samsung is kind enough to send you a $25 off coupon on your "birthday". It takes a couple of days for the system to update, so if you are making an account (or xxx accounts) for this, set the birthday for 3 days from the creation date. Your code should arrive at some point on the day of your "birthday". I have successfully tested this on multiple accounts. You do not have to register any devices for a Samsung account. Just go to Samsung, go to sign in, and go to create a new account.

Kohls has this slow cooker for $29.99. Add coupons fallfor10 ($10 off) and harvest15 (15% off), bringing the base price down to $16.99. If you have a kohls card, you can also add turkey30 (30% off) and shipmvc (free shipping), bringing this to $10.99 shipped. There is a $5 rebate for this, making the total $5.99. Even without the card, it's $12 +tax after rebate with in store pickup, still a good price, if your can find a store works. (In Brooklyn, it's $18.01 after tax with in store pickup, which would be $13.01 after mail in rebate.)
