Barclay has a new systemwide rule that prevents approval for a card within 24 months of having opened the same card
Passenger traffic data at Ben-Gurion International Airport are breaking all forecasts, and it is already clear that the forecast for 2030 at Ben-Gurion Airport at 30 million passengers will be realized sooner than expected - by 2024. This week, 20 million passengers passed through Ben-Gurion Airport, With an increase of 17% compared to 2016.
The forecast is that in 2008, more than 23 million passengers will pass through Ben-Gurion Airport, and there are now requests for an additional 7,000 "slots" for the summer of 2018. The IAA is preparing a plan to adjust the infrastructure.
The IAA's comprehensive plan, at a cost of NIS 5 billion, is to expand the ground building at Terminal 3, add 86 inspection counters and independent check-in processes. The security inspection area for the handpiece will be expanded by 6 additional inspection machines, while introducing technological and biometric improvements. In addition, in the next few weeks, 8 additional exit sleeves and two bus exit gates will be added to Terminal 3 with the opening of the fourth arm.
Due to the increase in low-cost flights and the forecast to double the number of passengers in Terminal 1 from 1.4 million this year to about 3 million passengers by 2019, flight registration counters will be added, the hand-checking area will be expanded, and border control posts and number of exit gates will be increased.
The evacuation of the cargo area near Terminal 1 will enable the passengers to increase their passenger capacity for domestic flights and the anticipated increase in the closure of Sde Dov. The longer-term plan is that Terminal 1 will be a fully independent terminal for low-cost flights, and passengers on these flights will also exit and enter Israel via this terminal. This is when the domestic flights will be built a separate terminal.
The increase in passenger traffic to and from Israel is a direct result of the open skies policy led by Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz. "We are committed to accelerating the development of Ben-Gurion Airport in order to prevent a situation in which the main entrance and exit gate of the State of Israel will be blocked by passengers and cargo. The plan will provide a response to the immediate needs of Ben-Gurion Airport and its response to the increasing traffic of passengers, "the Airports Authority said yesterday.
