Up In The Air / Can I check my bags in 6-7 hrs before my delta flight

I’m flying delta jfk to tlv tonight 11:35
I want to check in my bags at 4 pm
I can’t find any clear info online
I spoke to a representative and she claimed I can check in my bags 6 hr prior to my flight but don’t see anything about that online
Should I take the risk and travel the 40 min to jfk?

A friend of mine says he’s got a mild cold slight sore throat NO fever!
He went for a test and the results were negative!
He has an international flight coming up what would you do?

Just Shmooze / Translating a Yiddish diary From the war

My grandmother has a diary written by her father during ww2 (they were running and hiding for almost 6 years!)
The diary is written with a pencil (fading) in Yiddish and he did not have the greatest handwriting.
My grandmother had it translated by someone however they did not know the history or geography of the area therefore making a lot of basic mistakes and they were still not able to translate it all!
If anybody knows someone who does this (Obviously for $) it would be a great help the original gets harder to read by the day!
