Deals/Deal Requests / Deal Request: Starbucks Gift Cards
« on: December 02, 2019, 03:16:58 PM »
I was hoping to give $25 Starbucks gift cards to employees for end-of-year gifts, need 200.

There are retail deals all the time (20% off through Starbucks and Sams Club to name the latest) but I can't find any sort of bulk discount for this.

If anyone has any ideas I'd be appreciative.

Deals/Deal Requests / Saks Off 5th - Two Suits for $200
« on: June 07, 2017, 12:31:24 AM »
I'm really not that savvy when it comes to deals or fashion, so please go easy...

Saks Off 5th has quite a few of their suits (Saks, Lauren, Calvin Klein, etc) on sale for $199.99.  Many of them are also stacking with BOGO for suits.  Going to their BOGO promotion misses a lot of the ones that are eligible - so there's going to be some trial and error here.  (My apologies if this isn't deal-worthy.)

Searched and didn't find ant threads like this...

Looking for the basic 2015 MacBook Pro with Retina (MF839LL/A).  Saw it a little while ago for $1,080 but wasn't ready to pull the trigger.  If anyone knows of a good source, let me know.  TIA.

Tech Talk / Need advice: T-Mobile qwerty phone
« on: June 13, 2012, 12:10:08 AM »
Need some advice - My daughter's Samsung Gravity 3 died (it powers on to an unresponsive white screen and that's it) and she's not eligible for a new phone.  She's a heavy texter and has no data plan.  Any suggestions for the best value and reliability in a prepaid or unlocked phone (and maybe where to get it)?  I think she needs a qwerty keyboard and prefers a slider as opposed to bb style.  Thanks for your help!

Goods For Sale/Trade / Looking to buy - AA $10 off coupon code

If anyone has one of these from the Entertainment Book, I'd be happy to purchase it, or if you'd like I can pay it forward and just order you another book (that way you'll have a new code and a new book).  Thanks.

I've got one free night (from the last Mega Bonus) at any Marriott brand hotel uo to category 4 that expires September 31st, doesn't look like I can use it effectively.  Asking $90.  You pay nothing in the base rate, not even the state/local room taxes.

On The Road / Where do you credit your Avis rentals?
« on: July 20, 2011, 01:15:59 PM »
Question for the chevrah (and especially the gurus):

Leaving aside any temporary promos which might make it worthwhile to change your habits, where do you credit your Avis rental miles/points?  Virgin Atlantic seems super generous, but has high fuel surcharges.  I'm thinking maybe LAN.  What do you do?  :-\
