Does anybody have an idea what the "magic" number might be?

Is business in El AL that good anyway? Should I just bid on an extra seat in coach, considering I am flying with wife and an extra seat in between us would be great too...

Credit Cards / Marriott Chase Credit Card
« on: November 02, 2011, 04:29:16 PM »
I understand that SPG offers air point transfers and some other benefits that makes it a great card.

However, if I was just to look at the better card to earn hotel stays, factoring in quality, availability, quantity, and locations, is the Marriott card a good card to have, compared to SPG? Also, is 50,000 bonus points a lot for Marriott?

Is there a strategy to use to avoid the dreaded "only for new cardmembers" response, considering Dan says it's a dead end if received?

Credit Cards / Opening New/Additional CC
« on: August 15, 2011, 12:20:46 PM »
Is there some consensus as to when I can reapply for a new CC, when I already have 1? I have browsed the forum, but I found too much deviation.

Chase, Amex, Citi:

Is it 60 days after application? Approval? Rejection? Reconsideration rejection? Is it 90 days?

Is it based on issuing company? Can I apply for Amex gold soon after getting approved for platinum? Personal after Business?

Credit Cards / Bad Amex GC experience
« on: July 27, 2011, 12:06:41 PM »
Spent 40 minutes on the phone with Amex after receiving GC in order to cancel because I did not agree to Terms & Conditions.

They charged back my card, so no help meeting spending on my Visa....

SUCKS!

Up In The Air / Came accross this on Jetblue website...
« on: July 26, 2011, 09:47:43 AM »
"Earning TrueBlue points on American Airlines flights Beginning November 18, 2010, TrueBlue members can earn TrueBlue points on American Airlines flights from New York's JFK and Boston to 15 international destinations*. To get your points, simply provide your TrueBlue number when booking these flights with American Airlines."

Is there some relationship between the 2 airlines? Can I transfer points or use AA miles on jetblue or something?
