I put CyanodenMod and Moboot on my touchpad, but Moboot doesn't seem to work. Every time I reboot, I'm in Android again. It won't give me the menu to boot back to WebOS.  :(

« on: October 27, 2011, 11:46:38 AM »
Hi, I'm new to the tablet world. I just got a HP Touchpad.

Is there a way to run hulu, netflix on the device? How about using slingbox?
Other than youtube, do any video services work on this thing?

Credit Cards / Price Protection questions
« on: October 06, 2011, 01:23:23 PM »
I have a couple of cards with Price Protection (CO and United).

Today, there was a mistake (I guess) on the Best Buy website.  They advertised the HTC Flyer Tablet (16gb) for $99.
The website said it was sold out online. Stores won't honor the price, saying it was a mistake.

Luckily, I printed out the page - and got a screenshot - before it was taken down from the web.

If I now purchase the tablet at the regular price, $299, will I recoup the $200 from my credit card?

Credit Cards / Suggestions please? Trouble securing Citi AA business card
« on: September 24, 2011, 11:48:30 PM »
Hi, Looking for a suggestion regarding opening business card accounts.
I read somewhere in this forum that opening a business card is not difficult. Apply with a business name such as "Chaim's Tutoring Service" and state that you're a sole proprietorship.  I did exactly that when applying for a City AA business card
They are holding up my app pending because they cannot verify my business address.  Citi wants a utility bill or bank statement with the name of my business.
How should I deal with this?  I want to hear your idea.

Amex didn't make me jump through these hoops. I wonder if Chase would.

Too late, I saw on FT that the business name should be one's own name. Would have made proving the address a whole lot easier.

Got an email saying that 80% off again is back, code is FALL

On the list, I found a Las Vegas kosher restaurant called Panini Cafe. Anyone know if it's good?

In NY State: Wolf and Lamb Steakhouse, Traditions, Ben's Best Gourmet, Safa

Found nothing in NJ, but there's a few places in LA

Up In The Air / JetBlue questions

I'm looking to fly on JetBlue this February from BOS to LAS.
Is Jetblue partnered with anyone? Can I somehow use AA miles or starpoints for this trip?

Credit Cards / 50,000 UR points without spend threshold
« on: September 14, 2011, 02:40:28 PM »
I don't know if you have the patience for this, but if you want the 50K for the chase sapphire preferred without having to spend 3k, you can get  50k regular points by opening a regular sapphire account, and then convert it to a preferred account.
Only drawback is... you will have to wait 12 months before chase allows you to convert the account

Credit Cards / No inquiry credit cards?
« on: September 12, 2011, 06:24:57 AM »
A rep at Chase told me that - as long as I never used the card - I have 90 days to decline my recently acquired credit card and Chase will remove the inquiry as well.

So... what happens if you get multiple cards with only one inquiry, such as Dan's 3BM? Shouldn't that mean that the other two cards leave no trace of inquiry on the credit report?

Credit Cards / Shifting charges from one CC to another, same bank
« on: September 01, 2011, 11:35:28 PM »
I'm trying to get to the 4500 spend threshold on my business starwood card.
Meanwhile, after having opened the card - but before receiving it - I put well over 4500 on my consumer card.

If I call and tell them I goofed, might amex be willing to shift some of the charges from one account to the other?
