Credit Cards / Dealing with The BankCorp
« on: March 12, 2014, 02:48:24 AM »

The Bankcorp is the bank behind Net Spend, PayPal Prepaid and many other cards we are dealing with. After they closed my account, like they do to everybody, I had a very hard time getting back the money I had with them. I finely contacted the FDIC and the BBB and they promised me to overnight the check.

Just got this email

Dear Members:

It has been brought to our attention, that HSBC Bank USA is exiting the small business market effective November 8th, for certain business clients. It appears to be business clients with revenues are $3 million annually, and certain clients that do business internationally.

If your firm initiates any electronic tax payments for your clients, i.e. estimated tax payments or sales tax, you should contact your clients before initiating future payments.

Up In The Air / United Mileage Refund Question
« on: July 29, 2013, 02:51:33 PM »
I made an award ticket TLV to NYC and then (a free additional leg to) LAX. United rep offered me to refund the NYC to LAX portion of the miles. Can I believe her? While I see already online that the ticket is canceled can I trust her that I will get back the miles?  She is not sending me any confirmation email.

I am looking for a place for a Shabaton for 20 couples. Within driving distance from the NY area.
