General Discussion / E85 Gasoline
« on: June 08, 2015, 04:09:58 PM »
I just noticed there's a gas station near me that sells E85 which is way cheaper but apparently the fuel economy sucks. Anyone know if the difference in price makes up for the horrible gas mileage? In other words, would I be saving or losing money by switching to E85?

Credit Cards / Savings/investments/bonds Master Thread.
« on: May 27, 2015, 01:30:58 PM »
I have some savings accounts, totaling just under 20K, that are maturing and looking for advice on how to invest them.

At the time my in-laws took care of the investing so I am clueless about these things. We are looking for a safe long-term investment to maybe use to pay for the kids' weddings (~20 years). Anyone know of a reputable financial advisor to discuss these things with?

Just Shmooze / What's Your JS Post:Elite Qualifying Post Ratio?
« on: February 25, 2015, 04:45:39 PM »
Just got an offer for a BoA Travel Rewards card. Anyone knows how their rewards program works? Seems like instead of miles they give you a statement credit for travel related expenses, but I couldn't find any information for how much miles/rewards.
It seems like the card has other things going for it though: 1.5 points per $ (plus 10% bonus for BoA costumers), no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee.

Welcome to the forums, love the username...
That's how it all started. Who would believe that a mere 2 and a half years later I would be posting my 10,000th post... 8)

Also, what does it say about me if may ratio of JS posts to regular posts is 2.8:1? :P
