Deals/Deal Requests / Banana Republic PROMO
« on: March 13, 2017, 08:46:20 PM »
I just tried combining these two codes on the website and they are currently stackable. You can also use any virtual gift cards (I used mine that I got off amazon with $25off) and it will still allow you to use the promo codes. You need to have a BR credit card to be able to do this though.

BRFMAILY - 50% off 5 full priced items (exclusions apply)
WELCOMEBR - 20% off

Good luck!

Deals/Deal Requests / Amazon/AMEX Deal
« on: August 27, 2014, 12:54:30 PM »
I know that some people were targeted for the spend $10 get $10 on Amazon through AMEX offers. I thought that perhaps it would be a good idea to buy an Amazon gift card for $50 and send it to "someone" (such as your spouse). Then you could make use of the current promotion that when you buy a $50 gift card you get another additional $10 on your amazon account to use in September.

See here for more information:

Sorry for advance if someone already posted this idea. Have not been on in a while.

I was curious if anyone has purchased these and or tried them on. I am wondering how comfortable they might be. I currently have the Nike Air Max 2013+ which are extremely comfortable. Just looking for the most comfortable shoe around.

Deals/Deal Requests / Rosetta Stone
« on: November 18, 2013, 11:44:01 PM »
Right now you can get Rosetta stone on their website for $324 for levels 1-5. However, if you sign up for special offers you can get an email that brings the price down to $315 with Two Day Shipping. In addition to this if you call the sales team and tell them to use promo code RSPLUS50OFF you will get an additional $50 off the price that they give you over the phone. This will bring the price down to either $274 or $265 (depending on the price they give you on the phone). I think this is the lowest price I have seen in a long time if you want to get it direct from them.

Up In The Air / Booking someone elses flight
« on: February 20, 2013, 02:30:30 PM »
So I have read around that booking flights for other people may be a risk for a F/R; however, this is not so IME (bli ein hara). I was actually curious about a couple of things.

Is it less of a F/R risk if the person you are booking has the same last name as you (and you are not traveling with them)?

If you had a business card, and your business was booking flights, would this make a difference?

If you are booking for someone that does not care about miles/status, is it at all possible to get the points posted to your FF account? I only ask this because I notice that some airlines allow you to add people that you travel with on your FF account.

If a person does not have a FFN with a certain airline, I saw that they ask if you are partners with any other carriers. Does this mean that they will credit a different account of yours with the miles?

Credit Cards / AMEX Account Manager
« on: February 13, 2013, 10:00:00 PM »
So I just added myself to my wife's account as an account manager. Now I got snail mail that informed me that I can manage her account from my account manager user ID and password. When I tried to add her card to my existing AMEX account, it would not let me. I am learning that they are not going to let me manage my entire household's accounts all in one account. Anyone know anyway that I can manage all my accounts from one username? I tried creating a new account manager username and password to manage my wife's account and then tried to add my own account, but that would not work either. Why are they making this extremely hard?

Does anyone in this forum have any knowledge about road bikes? I have been trying to do some research and found the amount of things needed to know is overwhelming.

Up In The Air / Delta Ticket Change
« on: February 11, 2013, 01:23:03 PM »
I booked a flight on Delta MIA>JFK>LGA>MIA $175 about a week ago and need to change the dates. I booked it on an AMEX PRG. I called Delta because I need to come back a day earlier. They are telling me I need to pay $400 a ticket now. Is there anything that I can do to try and get a workaround outside of going on a earlier standby flight?

Deals/Deal Requests / AAA Roadside Service
« on: February 04, 2013, 04:40:56 PM »
I recently contacted AAA about signing up for their membership. I know that AF vary depending on the state that you reside in. I was just wondering if anyone knew of or had experience with getting a discounted rate regardless of where they live? Is there any type of method that someone can use (like a perk of a specific cc) to offset the AF for AAA?

Deals/Deal Requests / Gap Rewards Jan-March 3x
« on: January 28, 2013, 12:58:43 PM »
So I got a letter in the mail in January stating that when I spend on my Gap card (OUTSIDE OF GAP INC. BRANDS i.e. gas etc.) I will earn 3x the amount of rewards on purchases. I was thinking that if I spend on VR's on my gap card I could get some major bonuses going. Basically for every 1k you spend in VR's you will be getting $30 to Gap. I think this is a little bit worth it if you want to do some spending at these brands. If you are get 1.4cpp on MR or 1.8cpp on UR (I do not know how much points are going for this is just a guess) then this is still more lucrative. Albeit, the points are not as versatile; however, you can earn more money if you are going to spend here anyway.
