Up In The Air / Flying from Israel from US use miles or pay for a ticket

United EWR to TLV is 85K points or around 930 dollars.
I need special permission to get in (birh of grandkid exception).
I also need permission from work from Israel while being quarantined.
Would you use points which have 125 redeposit fee or get a 1 year credit of fare?

Only allowed a carry on bag. I want to bring tuna in a pouch and Amazing Meal from Meal Mart. Would these be allowed to go through?

Called AA and they told me this is not available. Only regular meals chicken or vegetables available.

Up In The Air / Flight refund

Us airways flight was fully refunded due to cancelling us airways phl to tlv route. I was going phl Rome  tlv and then back nonstop for purim. Today I get a priceline email about an upcoming flight. I looked on ba.com and I still have an active booking between Rome to tlv, tlv to phl on British airways. Do I need to cancel the flights? Is it valid?

I am doing PHL->Toronto->TLV business class.  US Airways and then Air Canada.

I got a ticket from United and booked US Airways before the cutoff date.

1) They said I can take 2 bags with each one 70 pounds. Hoping they are right.
2) Best place to park my car for a week?

Credit Cards And Finance / Chase extended 1 year warranty repair or refund

Last year i bought a Dell refurbished laptop for $325 with a 1 year warranty.
Right now it does not boot up unless you shake it. We have another laptop in the house to use.

If I had used AMEX, I would wait 1 year and 1 day make my claim and most likely get a refund without needing any return or repair estimate.

For some reason I used my Chase Sapphire MasterCard? How does it work with them?

Up In The Air / Delta leg schedule change by more than one hour

I got one of the cheap NYC->TLV via AMS tickets. Today I was checking my miles and noticed --

 "There has been a change affecting one or more of your flights. Your itinerary has been updated"
They say the leg is from TLV->AMS on the way home.

I see there are no alternative flights from TLV->AMS.
Can I do anything with this e.g. Cancel trip, find a direct flight home to New York?

Where would be the best site to post for getting for free English 'Jewish' magazines in Jerusalem like Mishpacha. She is an English teacher and wants to use the material for school lessons. She also likes reading them but in that case they can also be in Hebrew. She does not have internet access so I am positing for her.
