Do United gc's not work?

The wiki does not list united gift cards so i assume that not. Has anyone had success with united gift cards?

Anyone know a way to get the credit with united? I forgot to change it from last year, and amex says that you can only change airlines in January. The United gift registry is still not working, anyone have any other ideas?

Macallan has always NOT been recommended since it is made in Sherry casks.

sherry casks is not a problem. if you look in the shulchan oruch (i dont have it in front of me but if you want i will find it for you) it is only nosen ta'am lshvach for wine. for any other liquid wine in the walls of the barrel is nosen ta'am lifgam. when i learnt smicha i was told this clearly by the rosh machon smicha

According to the CRC (Chicago Rabbinical Council) Glenlivet is kosher:

It lists Gelnlivet 12, 15, 16 (Nadura), 18, and 21.

thanks for the link to the crc i gave them a call and they said that this had been looked in to before and the bottom line is that its fine (they said they don't remember why but it was a logical reason)

im not talking about the sherry casks problem (from looking in the shulchan aruch IMO its not a problem) the problem is that till 2000 it was owned by the bronfman fam and therefore be chometz shovar aleho es hapesach if they did not sell their cometz. i emailed the ou and they say that no chametz was sold to them (i had heard rumors that it was sold to the ou so i was just checking)

anyone have any input on this?
