CA OUTDOES COUMO!!!

Anaheim Ducks will be having fans for their last 5 home games this season. Their concession stands will be closed! No food or drinks will be sold, nor will they be allowed in!!! Gotta sit in your seat (masked of course) for 3+ hours and no, you cannot get a drink! (never mind that Ducks are from worst teams in league this year)

They blame it on CA rules, but other teams (outdoor stadiums) are having food including in the indoor clubs (LAFC for example). Didn't hear yet about Staples Center, which will also start allowing fans in the next week or so...

Are you sure about the KSMLs?

UA.com says only to TLV:
https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly/travel/inflight/dining/special.html

My flight is to TLV
When I look at the reservation online, it says that "Special meals aren't available for any of the flights in your itinerary." However, the agent put in the request for me (and an agent on phone just confirmed that the request is showing on my reservation)

Credit Cards And Finance / Can You Still Get United ETCs?
« on: April 07, 2021, 09:18:46 AM »
2 new changes started at United since Apr 1. First of all, they are resuming full service on planes, so they will be serving meals, and you can order kosher.
2nd, and this is according to a helpful manager on the premier phone line, they completely stopped issuing ETC. I had a reservation that was booked in part with an ETC, and was cancelled before Apr 1. At the time, they issued a future travel credit, which is only valid for 1 year, and can only be used for that traveler. I requested to change it into ETC, but they said it is no longer possible. They are not issuing them at all any more.
Nir sure if I should huca, or is this really their new policy, but the manager who told me this was very helpful, and she herself did not like this new policy...

Is there any way to search for the cheapest available flight on United. From anywhere to anywhere, at any date.
Had a flight that was canceled, and United does not want to issue an ETC. They said I need to book a ticket, and the difference in fare will get credited as an ETC.

I am trying to book a flight found on ITA Matrix. Having trouble getting United.com to allow me to book flights with stopovers... any ideas?
I've had in the past that a fare that I found on ITA was only available on United website, if you changed the location. Just click on the "English - United States" tab on top, and switch it to English - Israel.
Don't know if it will work for your booking, but has helped in past...

Chaim Vachesed said that a new vaada was created last night, and the application is on their website, click on vaadat charigim on the top of website. The form looks very similar to old form, but it is new.
He said that there is absolutely no chance that they will be opening up to all chutznikim now. Gotta have a good humanitarian or emergency reason, or they will not let...

a couple weeks ago at R' Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin's Thursday night chovos halvovos shiur (in Jackson, also on zoom) he told how when he was 'in a place they call prison', on erev Yom Kippur, about half an hour before the zman, they said that the entire building was on lockdown, and there was no way in the world he would be able to go to the chapel for Kol Nidrei. He said he knew that this is only from 'ה and not from any of them, so he just went to a quiet place, took out his chovos halvovos and learned shaar habitachon. 15 minutes later they came searching for him to take him to the chapel......

Meaning that foreigners are allowed in without any per-approval?  Is there any testing needed?  Quarantine requirements/ Anyone have any firm information on this?  I have family that had been holding out hope against all odds that they'd be able to make their flight to TLV tomorrow...
Here too. For the fun of it, we clicked on the link that United sent, to request an ishur, on Friday afternoon. (BTW that link is still active). Was surprised to get a response 5 hours later, around 6pm ET, denying my request. Thought they don't work on Shabbos, and at 12 am?

Ok I guess it's Lakewood that they can't deliver before Thursday. When I changed the delivery address to NY, everything became available for delivery this Tuesday

Was looking to buy things for Shalach Manos. Everything that I looked at says that the earliest available delivery date is Thursday, Feb 25 (even prime items). Did they stop next day delivery options?

Credit Cards And Finance / Re: united travel bank no longer working,
« on: February 11, 2021, 11:03:19 AM »
Pardon my ignorance, but I'm not understanding the part about refunding to Travelbank.  Isn't a United Travelbank purchase no longer working for the $200 Platinum airline credit?
Amex won't refund you the $200 if you purchase Travel bank funds. But if you have funds in your travelbank, they are still valid. People loaded their travelbank before Amex cut the refunds...
