Looking to get away for a few days.  Any of the ihg hotels open?  Has anyone visited any of them in the last month? Review?

The strange part is that hotels in same city e.g. tel aviv have one hotel that says taxes included and another that says taxes excluded on point stays.  I also saw this in malta.

As I stated earlier,  it says that taxes are excluded only at some hotels even in the same city or country.  Look at tel aviv and also cyprus.  It is not across the board, which doesn't make sense.  It would also make a big difference between a 2 e. City tax in a European city compared to 17 % vat in Israel for Israeli citizens.  Anyone know whatís going on.

I had a picture frame fall all the wall and the glass broke.  Where can I get a piece of glass about 36 in by 24 inches in the center of Jerusalem

I noticed today that some point stays now say including taxes and some say excluding taxes in the same city.  How can that be?  Is this new?  Specifically I saw this in tel aviv and also other cities in Europe?  This was on the ihg website.  Any information or feedback?

Any of the ihg properties currently open in Israel?  Has anyone been there recently?  Are they using dynamic pricing?

Did anyone in Israel with a May 1 st date for sending out their paper stimulus check receive your check?  I heard there may have been an issue on checks on that day.  We have not received ours.

Museums are supposed to reopen today but I donít see anything on their websites about reopening.  I specifically looked at the Israel Museum and Yad Vashem websites.  Does anyone know if they are open?

General Discussion / What green label foods do you eat in Israel?
« on: May 16, 2020, 08:41:39 PM »
Israel has started marking healthy foods with a green label and unhealthy foods ( high sugar, fat, etc. ) with a red label.  Although we try to eat healthy, besides fruits and vegetables which do not  have labels, the only item we seem to buy with a green label is techina.
What green label items do you purchase and recommend?

We just got a paper check delivered to us in Israel.  It took about three weeks from the mail date.  Has anyone used a money changer to cash the check.  If they donít do it what are the options for cashing the check in Israel?

Has anybody with an Israeli address been successfully able to put in their bank information in the website so they can get direct deposit?
