Who's going to try this

Tried it a couple days after their getting hechshered. All the food was great, but took FOREVER. They were really overwhelmed. Plan to go back in a few weeks. I also find the Bucharim kind of fascinating, like ethnographically. They kind of keep to the themselves in Miami (or everywhere?) so it was fun to hang out with them there.

Friend is traveling on a QF J ticket MIA > DFW > SYD. Booked through Amex travel. He was notified by email that the Miami portion was cancelled. Called and they told him they can put him on another flight in coach. He's now in the air to Dallas. Won't be much time on the ground for him to deal with it there. What should he be asking for, and from whom? I know it's a little far fetched, but is there any chance they upgrade him to SYD in F?  ???

Idk why its so difficult to find an add.
So whats the add. for weekday? 19 main. st. ? nothing comes up on google maps
how about shabbos? the meals?

Things are a bit more "complicated" on the island. Or, if you prefer, "backward". Everyone there knows "Main Street" but looking at Google Maps it seems that that's not the proper name. Or maybe it has two names, one from the Danes and one from the English. Dunno. Shabbos meals/davening when I was there were hosted in the shliach's house. This is a few years back. If I recall correctly the address doesn't really register on Google Maps either, it goes along with some explaining of twists and turns. That may be the reason it's not there, or maybe they just don't want their home address posted.

Trying to figure out where to stay close to chabad and its very confusing,
where is the shul located? how about where they do the shabbos meal? not much info on the website

I see a few addresses, on 6501 Red Hook Plaza STE 201 St. Thomas, VI (google maps points to a paking lot)
on the main website, I see 19 main st. mentioned, which according to google maps does not exist

Previously I believe the best location for Shabbos proximity was the Ritz which has not yet reopened after Irma. They're aiming for Fall 2019. Main St address is for weekdays only, and the Red Hook address is for mailing only. I think the Elysian resort and The Anchorage are decent location as well. This is to the best of my recollection. Probably a good idea to just call Rabbi Federman.

I'm not sure if any of these have been posted before, but I find this guy's whole channel hugely interesting.

He does a great job explaining all kinds of transportation-related (and other) topics, with special attention to air travel and the airline business. I especially enjoyed this latest one.

A few people sent me messages like this. Not sure if I'm better off identifying as a Rabbi or not...

A rule of thumb I use in situations like these (and as a gabbai in shul) is to use the title Rabbi for those who serve as such in a professional capacity. All others get Reb or Mister.

I, along with many others abandoned Firefox for Chrome a few years back. In its time, Firefox won popularity and user share from Internet Explorer by being lighter and faster. As often happens with software, Firefox became progressively bloated and slow, and was eclipsed by the faster and lighter Chrome. From what I hear those roles are again reversed, with Firefox now winning back adherents by resisting feature-bloat and its accompanying resource-hogging, while also maintaining superior privacy bona fides.

I don't think they realize how selling out destroys credibility...

Are there any extant paywall workarounds these days? Usually use but doesn't seem to be working here.

I have the Amex offer of $100 off $350. My rental total is $289.31. I assume a few charges will be added at the end, for gas and tolls. Are there any charges I might be able to add when I return it if I need to get over that $350 threshold? Also, I'm assuming the $200 deposit authorization will not trigger the offer. Any thoughts?

1. I say um too much.

You seem to have corrected this quite nicely. Great job overall.

That's easy to defend, assuming he's intellectually honest. If I listen to one podcast today from him, which should it be?

Easy to defend, sure. If it was me and I was unprepared, I might find myself flustered. Lots of people not in the public eye are not accustomed to having their lifestyle/identity/livelihood challenged directly by a stranger, and could be tripped up even if they have plenty to say. I take it you've been here before?
