Up In The Air / Re: Kosher food at newark airport

"I don't know if this has been posted before, but just a FYI about prepared sandwiches, wraps and salads, all kosher under the Star-K, available at Newark Airport: Not only at the JetBlue Terminal A by gate 16, but also at Market Fresh in Terminal C, in the Food Court area.. you walk by it on your way to the gate for United's flight to Israel. Not cheap, but actually very tasty. They had at least one gluten free offering, as well."

I was just in Newark on Weds and I read this post and sure enough in termial C at Marketfresh near gate 138 there are kosher sandwiches. I must say I was so happy to come across this thread! the sandwiches are nothing to drool over, BUT theyre kosher and pretty good for what youd expect. I also used United food vouchers to buy them bc they delayed my flight.   :P

Especially if living in the USA where airlines charge as a standard for luggage, depending on your travel, this gold might have a good few $100 value to you. Keep in mind when looking at tickets.

are you saying its good to spend the extra $ to get A3 or not so good ?

i have 4500 miles told gold and wanna get the other 15500 just dont know how. its crazy hard for me to find an airline that gives 100% mileage accrual for a decent price. any suggestions?
p.s. i am going to israel at the end of august but still none of the normal priced flights give good accrual.

Yes. Pay to "upgrade" your ticket to a higher fare class. Or cancel and rebook something else.
i took your advice and called to ask for upgrade. Problem is that it cost an extra grand to do that. (I also cant cancel because thats their policy. Guess im stuck-gam zu letova

Thanks, I bought the ticket on cheapoair.com. Im departing on brussels and returning on lufthansa. Should i call up the airlines or cheapoair.com to upgrade?

I booked a flight on brussels airline from tlv-lax and unfortunately i just found out that the fare class that im flying in is not eligible for accrual for aegean miles and bonus miles to reach a status. That really suck cause it costs a grand and it was a good oppurtunity to get those miles. Is there ANYTHING i can do to get those miles credited??

On UA you can search expert mode to see the class. You can always PUTPAC the airline, they will be able to tell you the class.

Ok, but what about when searching for tickets through apps. Some of these apps (skyscanner) are really convenient for searching and for finding cheap fares, just the problem is how do you find out the fare class when using these apps?

Hey I've done hours of research about aegan before Im posting so i think its a fair question. If I'm looking now to book a round trip ticket from tlv-lax on a *A member, how do i find out in advance how many miles i'll be able to credit to aegan. Because most times the fare class doesnt show. Especially if i book through an app such as skyscanner.
Any advice? TIA
