Change the date to April.
Hey, Dan. Thanks for the quick response!
But then what do I do when April comes? Do you think United will cancel the flight on their own by then?

2
Booked a flight for UA in January for travel tomorrow (Fri. 3/20) MIA-EWR using UA miles.
Trying to cancel on United's website and it looks like they want to charge me an award redeposit fee of $125 per passenger. According to the chat bot on their website, although they're waiving change fees, they're not waiving redeposit fees.
Does this make sense?
TIA!

Any thoughts on Kosh for Friday night (for next week)?
How does it compare to BYBBQ as far as quality and price?

What other Friday night options are there in Surfside?

TIA

Credit Cards / Re: How Does a Corporate Card Affect Personal Credit
« on: April 25, 2018, 10:25:57 AM »
No. Personal credit can not be affected by a Corp card. Personal experience.
Thanks for the info!
Just as a follow-up to this, our rep at AMEX confirmed that usage on a corporate card will not affect the employee's personal credit. However, the AMEX rep also said that if the account becomes delinquent past 90 days, then the delinquency WILL be reported on the employee's personal credit report.

Does anyone know whether this is true or not?

TIA!

Credit Cards / How Does a Corporate Card Affect Personal Credit
« on: April 23, 2018, 04:48:22 PM »
Hi All,

I've been looking for an answer to this question and I've kept running into conflicting information, so I apologize for opening up a new thread if this has already been discussed.

My question is regarding an AMEX corporate account. Apparently, for our company's account, AMEX is requesting each cardholder's SSN. The question we've been asked by our employees is whether an individual employee's credit could be adversely affected if they give AMEX their SSN for this account.

Any thoughts would be welcome!
TIA!

Complain to DOT? Do they have jurisdiction over airport security also?

can't you just fill this out?
https://www.freeze.equifax.com/Freeze/jsp/SFF_PersonalIDInfo.jsp
I think that a separate freeze needs to be placed at each credit bureau.

Trans Union has an option on their site for free enrollment in TrueIdentity which gives a user "the ability to lock and unlock your credit whenever you want".
How is this different than placing an actual "credit freeze" on my credit file?

ETA: From comments upthread, I'm assuming that it's not as effective as an actual freeze. Is that true? If so, why?

How about BQE to RFK? You can avoid lower Manhattan and Midtown that way...

ETA: But, you'll have to pay toll at RFK which I believe is the same as HLC

Maybe it's considered the same product as the blue for business. Did anyone who got approved, have an open B4B?
Was actually wondering the same because I opened up the regular Blue for Biz a few months ago.

Success!
Just called AMEX re: SPG consumer. Paid the AF last week.
After some small talk with the rep about SPG Gold upgrades (through AMEX Plat), she offered:
  • $75 statement credit with a minimum spend of $2k in 3 months; or
  • 10k points with a minimum spend of $1k in 3 months.
Thanks everyone for the success stories!
