The convectional wisdom is term plus investment instead of WL. We can't even get them to get term insurance. How in the world would you get them to invest also. While WL may not be the best answer it is better than having nothing.
and term will expire...

also, no legacy

Mileage tickets have free cancellations. Not sure if they extend the expiration.
Even better

There are plenty of diversification options that are not WL.

A. Never said not
B. Interest rate justifies risk generally, so be careful when trying to attain same rates that you can get in WL

Basic economy
But regular seats you can? I want to extend my AA mileage (its running out soon), so I want to book a ticket, extend it, then cancel the ticket. Is this a crazy idea or realistic?

Diversification.

+1

Also, you want to put a piece of your income into WL, not a large percentage where you would make a higher interest rate.

100% Diversification.

Investing 101

I don't think they sold BE to Israel until now.
Dan - does AA have free cancellation policy due to covid (similar to jetblue) ?

Expiring worthless is exactly what you want from insurance.
Why is that?

But the concoction of whole life is certainly a boon for salesmen.
I actually love whole because I view it as a small pocket of what I earn and I use it as a savings + retirement account. Win win for me. I dont want to get a 30 year policy that will expire worthless for the chance that I pass away prior to that. Obv, very subjective. Also RE: Boon for salesman, just like any other biz, you have to deal with the right ones that dont do it for the money. Believe it or not, there are ones out there.

Yeah, Reuven had auto insurance for 60 years and never got to use it once. He was out of luck unfortunately!
Exactly, people can be out of luck. However, the alternative should scare you. Re: any insurance.

Not having insurance is simply responsible. Also, while term is cheap, it runs out and if you have 20 yr term and pass away yr 21, your out of luck unfortunately. However, having that is better then nothing. Also, whole/perm insurance is like a savings account and while it is "more expensive", you get to see that money eventually and it grows as well.

Many important factors to consider, but most important is to get covered!

I dealt with a big firm out of S Florida and they covered me up north. They were also able to get exceptions.

If anyone interested in their info, DM me. Happy to intro and to help.

if you win 4000, 400 or even 40 points it counts as point activity
This link never worked for me, is there any other way to extend the points without risk of losing them?

great idea!

Might be worth mentioning that the terms state the miles will post within 6 or 8 weeks. Make sure your miles don't expire before these miles post.

How does this extend your AA points?

Quick TR

Hyatt Ziva

Very accommodating to Kosher
Put tinfoil around every plate, double wrapped fish, vegetables, potatoes etc for us.
We gave him egg pan to make eggs in morning, he gave us the eggs in a cup to check for blood, had us put fire on etc.

Isla Mujeres one day - took a bus - it was 1 or 2 stops away from hotel. it was either .50 cents or $1 per person, we just gave 2. Was great! Got there too early, need to be there 15-20 min before departure. They said return from island back to Cancun was only 6pm, but it was really every hour.

Dolphins on site

Ember was a little pricey (shnitzel was $33) - but was delicious! Would go back!

Also, Ziva has photographers on site, not expensive, beautiful natural backgrounds, if going to the ziva, def bring some nice clothes for a photo shoot in case you go through with it. We took professional pics and they came out amazing.Out of the whole photo shoot we picked out 8 pics and it came out to $130 or $150 (much cheaper then professional photographers elsewhere where you pay for time, not pics)

Also, rented a Cabana on the beach one day for $89 (no tax), was beautiful!

Overall, wonderful trip - Went Sunday-Thursday - Had 930am flight out of JFK, next time I would try and find an earlier flight to get more hours in Cancun.

Hey folks, we're here and it's lovely. In Ember now, just finishing. Salad was really fresh, mushroom soup was really good. Lemon baby chicken was very good. Oriental veggies were also good (we like soy sauce, lol). The Cheeseburger was very pedestrian. Not terrible, just average.

DW is asking for recommendations of a nail place near Hyatt Ziva for a manicure.
was there last night, shnitzel was overpriced but delicious! Burger and pasta was delicious!
