She is staying in Madrid.....but everything depends on a safe neighborhood.

If Barcelona is safer, she will stay there. She wants to be able to walk the streets without worry, go for kosher food and be able to do a walking tour.

Hi,
My wife and daughter are doing a trip in May. What is a safe and enjoyable neighborhood for them to book a hotel?

How do i find more info on Bull fighting?

And any must see attractions? I read in this thread that one old shul is just an empty room. She has 3 days, and yes, one day will be with a guide( as it is expensive) so i am looking for other things for her to do that she can do on her own.

Up In The Air / El Al: Changing Seats
« on: December 16, 2019, 03:52:11 PM »
Hi,
I booked an El Al trip via priceline. However, I could not reserve my seats myself through the El Al website. I had to call a representative who reserve my seat. Is that normal?

Ok, I am still a newbie and I want to buy tickets to Israel.

It seems prices are steady, but I cannot bring myself to spend 1100 on a ticket with a stopover. Last  time I flew via russia a few years ago, I got the ticket for $500.
Also, all the threads advise buying tickets six weeks in advance. Does this apply to Israel?

Why do i see cheaper flights on Google Flights than ITA MAtrix when they are both from Google?
When should one use one versus the other?

According to websites it says to purchase tickets "The prime booking window for U.S. domestic flights can range from three weeks to 3 months in advance. (https://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/11/whens-the-best-time-to-book-a-flight.html)
Does this apply to places like israel?

I saw on Turkish air for $1,050 in July. Is this a matziyah and buy now or wait for a direct flight from Delta or El Al which may be the same price?

I see prices going slowly up. Should i wait or as we get closer there will be better deals?

I want to fly to Israel on 5/18.

Aeroflot has tickets for $729.

Should I buy now or wait to see if a deal comes along?

On The Road / Re: Car Rental Insurance in Israel

I rent with CSP.  Remember that unless you prepay, you can give them a different card to be billed when you return the car.

What is CSP? What benefit is there to switch cards?

On The Road / Car Rental Insurance in Israel
« on: July 21, 2015, 10:43:14 PM »
Hi,

I rented a car in Israel, but I just called my CC to verify insurance and I as informed it is not covered. Trip is next week.
I heard to many horror stories with renting in Israel. I used NoachCar that reserved it from Hertz.

My Amex said they do not cover Israel.
My Capitalone will only cover up to 15 days. I am staying 18 days.

What CC or advice is there foe the insurance. I do not want to have any hassle for a scratch or anything.

Thanks!
