Credit Cards / Re: Staples Gift Card Problem
« on: January 14, 2021, 07:19:11 PM »
I would try working with the store first.
I tried that once, in the end he couldn't fix it so I had to dispute, but would still go that route again.

For the $200 renewal travel credit available only on Amex travel, how can I turn this into a long term credit? Would booking UA flight then cancelling with UA work to get a ETC? Any other ideas? thanks

Credit Cards / Re: chase pay yourself back is a permanent program

When using the pay yourself back program it states:
" Once you redeem any amount of points to a purchase for a statement credit, it will no longer be listed as an eligible purchase."
Any issue if I redeem points against a purchase that helped me reach the spend threshold for SUB?

What is the answer to this question? Does using pay yourself back remove the charges towards sub?

Recently bought a used Honda Odyssey with low mileage. Is it worth considering buying an extended warranty from a third party? The Honda one expired

Have bought some warranties and even though many say it's not worth it, I always came out ahead.

I bought the easy street from penfed.

Only pays if you plan to keep the car for the duration.

It is 'bumper to bumper' meaning it covers everything but replacement parts.

A few pointers, Don't forget you have it! Which is not so simple after a few years.

Once they have paid the value of car at the time of the claim they won't pay anymore. With an odyssey it holds value so it's a good choice for a warranty.  A Hyundai would not be.

For example on my minivan the sliding door motor went, my mechanic refused to touch it, went to dealer, they covered the $2k

That is road hazard warranty, if the tire can't be repaired.
Bj's offers that as well.

Buying tires at the clubs you can get great deals, especially if buying 4, but the replacement guarantee has a lot of caveats and it's hard to collect on it, IME

Anyone have any tips for Everglades?

Iím having trouble finding a reasonable price (getting $200/hour quotes for boat ride)

I remember years ago we went on an airboat and safari tour in some reserve and it was well priced.

Also, any other good activity near the restaurant area in surf side?

Boca is very quiet right now. FWIW.

In the past went to the Everglades park and rented bikes and rode around the trail, if you're wanting to see gators, we saw about 100 and got really close. Can't compare to a boat ride, since not done that, but it was fun.

That's for multiple businesses.

So if I have ink cash and unlimited, and want to apply for one of those, best to first change one to preffered and then apply?

Will I be charged the $95 af right away?

My kids account is just short 2500 miles for an award, is there anyway to add, other than buying or transferring
through UA which is very expensive?

Transferring UR - have already transferred to a household member can that member be changed?

Any other ideas?
