  • 500 for app booking
  • 10% back from WOH card
  • 2000 for staying at one of the new brands
  • 500 for specified new hotels

8000 point night at a new brand = 4700 after rebates
5000 point night at other brand = 4000 after rebates

On The Road / Need to physically check in at Hyatt?
« on: August 12, 2019, 01:08:37 PM »
Can I make a points reservation, use mobile check in without physically visiting the hotel, and come away with credit for a night?

I'm looking at a couple hotels where I could get a night for < 4000 points, after current promos/rebates, and would benefit me with status through 2020 and an additional free night for staying at 5 Hyatt brands.

I could physically go to the hotels to check-in but it would be more convenient if I could skip that.

Anyone know?

Any recent reports of the kosher food situation at GHK?  Anything available in the club lounge?  Do they still have a kosher menu available in the restaurants?

I have reached out to the hotel and the restaurant but have not received a response yet.  I will report back here when I do, but also interested in hearing anyone's recent experience.

Are there any globalists here who accept point transfers into their account and book guest of honor stays using those points?

I could stay in std room at Andaz for 25,000 pts or club room at Hyatt Regency for 27,000 pts.  The Regency doesn't have any std rooms for 20,000 for my dates.

I've read that Andaz is usually preferred for a couple without kids.  But would club/breakfast for an add'l 2000 tip this in favor of the Regency?

Are there kosher options for breakfast other than fruit?  Anyone here know if the club lounge is open on weekend days?

Thanks all!

Yes. No issue with Preferred.

When I use the HI State Bar code without logging in to my Preferred account, I get great rates.  After I login, the rates jump - more than double in price for a convertible - even when I use the same corp discount code.

Is this normal?  Should I just book without logging in and ask the agent to add the reservation to my account when I pickup the car?

Which is preferred for one night beach vacation for 2 adults?

Sheraton TA or Ritz Herzliya

Using starwood points (16k vs 16.6k), so cost is basically equal.

you are entitled to club lounge access

Anyone here know if that includes a room on the club floor, or a standard room with access to the club?

If I book a points stay for a standard room, and I have an SPG Amex Business card, will I get free club lounge access?  Or is the club access only on paid stays?  Specifically for Tel Aviv Sheraton.  Thanks.
