What's wrong with a $20 one?

https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Wi-Fi-Range-Extender-EX2700/dp/B00L0YLRUW/?tag=cl03f-20&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Eta.. I see you posted the B&H one.
First of all, read reviews.

Second of all, no one said you can't. Was just posting examples.

Although I would recommend getting a more expensive one for the long run.

In addition it depends on what the usage will be. If it's just for an Obi, then the one you posted will suffice. But if you want better speed for browsing and downloading, you must get a better one with higher Mbps capabilities.
Also, need to verify that the Ethernet port will give you internet, and that it's not the opposite way.

I compiled a list of thousands of apps, if they have backdoor access to internet, and how/if that can be stopped. I am thinking of making a business out of it, so I don't really want to share the list, and definitely not publicly. But I have no problem helping a fellow Jew out. As to your questions - factory reset itself doesn't take long, but it wipes all data on phone. Waze - has some known loopholes, which can be blocked if you have rooted phone. Email app- depends on what model your phone is, the stock email app varies by phone model, and some are good and some aren't. Mapmywalk- I'll have to check out our, as I didn't test it yet. Banking- also varies by bank. Capitalone is one that is OK, and other banks- some do and some don't. Hope this helps, feel free to ask more.
Is this how KosherOS started out? ;)

anybody knows I have a domain by google and I use my email on gmail servers and want it should stay like this.

1. how can I host my website on godaddy?

2. but I still want to have the email by gmail on google servers

any advice will be appreciated. thanks
Either you point to godaddy site using cname or A record in the dns, or you can move your name servers (NS) to godady and then re-add the mx records to point to google.

Thank you.
Please do.
As per the response from gentech, all data gets purged after 48 hours. If you are signed up to the filter via an organization or reseller due example Tag or your community then they have access to that info into it gets deleted.

Techloq is under Gdpr rules.

Here's a vote for Techloq.
Their response time and customer service is superb.
Would be amazing to have Techloq for android. Gentech doesn't compare :(
Techloq is developing one for mobile but will be a while.

Have you tried Nativ and/or Netspark for a computer?
If yes, how do they compare to Techloq & Gentech - in your experience?
Thanks.
Don't touch netspark for a computer. It takes over all aspects of the pc etc.

Nativ is OK for specific purposes but can bog down the resources at some times and can be frustrating. For just email packages with Google services, it's OK.

What is the best filter for a chromebook Im having trouble finding one that is compatible!
Blocksi.
It can be tricky to set up, and you need the book to be managed in order to prevent a wipe.

1 - You mean better than Gentech, Netspark and Nativ?
2 - Can you please elaborate in what way Techloq is better?

Thank you.
Speed, not heavy on the PC resources, simple logical categories and great service.

I get wifi from them. HOw will a repeater allow me to buy a cordelss phone and work? what am i plugging the base into?
Many repeaters have Ethernet ports. So you can plug an Obi device into the repeater using an Ethernet cable.

Something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Universal-Ethernet-Adapter-WNCE2001/dp/B003KPBRRW/ref=sr_1_6?tag=georiot-us-default-20&ie=UTF8&qid=1416110097&sr=8-6&keywords=wifi+bridge&ascsubtag=tomshardware-3533124721234529940-20
Or a simple repeater with an Ethernet port:

Disclaimer. I am not very tech savy.  I rent office space which doesnt get cell reception. I can make my wifi calls on my cell phone but it certainly is not ideal and at time it become problematic. The person I rent the space from will likely not give me access to their modem/router for me to plug in one of those OBI phones.   I do have internet from them, i just dont think they will allow me to plug anything into their router/modem.  Is there any internet phone like OBI that doesnt need a direct plug in and will work directly off wifi?  Not sure what to do about this problem I am having
You say you have internet from them. Is that via cable or WiFi?
If cable, try using an Ethernet switch to get more Ethernet plugs and they plug in an obi device.
If WiFi, a repeater is your best bet.

Yes, it is.

And what about the fact that they track and store your information (if I understood their terms correctly)?
I can not, in good conscience, encourage people to get filters if it means other people from the same (Frum) community have access to our private searches & information.
I hate to say that - but it's how I feel.

I see no reason in the world why they would need to track & store our information.

I do believe strongly in what TAG is doing for Klal Yisroel but they really should press these companies to not store their customer's information.

I would love to hear from the TAG representatives that frequent this forum and from the companies themselves.
I believe what gentech is referring to is the following:
Within their system, they have different "resellers" (ie: communities).
When you sign up with a specific community, for example, TAG or one that your own community set-up, then they will share info as needed to the admins if "those communities".

I will try to get a clearer picture from them and post back here.

Deals/Deal Requests / Re: Microsoft Office Bundle Pro 2016 for $14.99!!
« on: February 06, 2020, 03:25:18 AM »
Many people bought on eBay without a problem, myself included. There is a risk of scam... I bought 2019 Microsoft office bundle for $20 to be on the safe side
They is no risk of malware as long as the installation comes directly from Microsoft.

The only thing your risking, is the license being blacklist/revoked.

Nu, $5 for a license for a year? Better than $250...
