For some reason no one understands these passes are voided the second you cancel your card not a week later not the day after. Immediately.

thats exactly how they explained it as well.

Does it affect the stay if it was booked on points vs. 7 night cert?

Itís a lot more expensive. Cat 7. Usually can range from 1200-1600
I was told since it was booked with points itís 1950 now.

The one benefit is it can be booked anytime with points.

has anyone ever encountered where he confirms the booking for over a week and states after that it was booked with points instead?
This means there was a price difference of over 800. the issue now is that it is past the 30 days for cert use. kind of locked in now.

The fact that you didn't reach out via PM first is inexcusable, Fortunately he had people to vouch for him.

not to beat a dead horse. I did actually reach out prior. which as exactly the reason why I wanted to get some input on the difference in quoted price.

Let me explain.
sometimes when I post a price, the price that is posted is good for a day, maybe a couple days or until the item is sold. Over the past few years we were able to hold a relatively steady pricing by always paying one price to a seller and charging one price to the buyer. Some people try to bargain me to sell certs at 60% off the price I list. The mark up is no secret If you ask me to buy a cert you would see our markup isn't even close to 50%.

Agreed that keeping a standard pricing has been out of whack the last few months. There can be many other variables taken into account since Covid started, like if we have cancellations or short expirations and need to sell at a loss.

Hope that makes sense

I am new to this forum and was not aware of the pricing fluctuations. I made the mistake of assuming... My assumption was that the price quoted a few weeks ago was still valid and a standard price.
Mistake was on my end in making that assumption. Based on the number of members that are responding in a positive manner, speaks volumes on the integrity of the member.
My apologies in if my question was construed in any other way.
