Are there any men Mikvaos that are cold to warm - but not hot - and are clean?
Thanks.
Well, I discovered that the big Mikvah on Madison has one Mikvah that is warm and another that is hot.

Topic change.

El Al will supposedly offer a 125% voucher for all cancelled flights.
I don't understand this.
If El Al raises their prices that wipes out the extra 25%.

For example, if I paid $1000 for a ticket and I get a voucher for $1250, by the time I redeem the voucher chances are the ticket prices will have gone up to approximately $1250 wiping out any benefit.

Am I missing something?
Thanks.

Anything specific I should be aware of?
It's like a court....swearing/affirming....very official....take all your information (much of which wasn't pertinent to the case)....ask lots of questions.....
Also, were you successful in your appeal?
It didn't seem like it. Quite merciless attitude, if you ask me.
We'll wait and see what the letter says.

Update:

I got a letter that I have a phone appointment with the appeal tribunal (which is one person who is assigned to my case) this coming Tuesday. I can submit evidence before, call on witnesses, etc.

Anyone have experience with this? Just want to know what to expect...

(Again, my goal here is for them to raise my Weekly Benefit Rate to reflect actual income, not the NJ standard of $231 for self-employed and partially self-employed workers.)
Just went through the appeal tribunal experience, though for a different issue than yours.
You feel like you're in court just over the phone.

I received the same response last week. I think we just need to wait (up to) 60 days to hears ElAl's response.
Do you think the new owners will honor prior tickets like ours?

We had 3 round-trip tickets EWR-TLV for late July that were cancelled.
El Al is simply unreachable.
We filed a DoT complaint and just received this (see below).
Has anyone else been in this situation and can tell us what to expect?
Thank you.
(I hope I'm posting in the right place.)

This responds to your communication regarding EL AL ISRAEL. The U.S. Department of Transportation seeks to ensure that all airline passengers are treated fairly. Complaints from consumers are helpful to us in determining whether the airlines are in compliance with our rules and to track trends or spot areas of concern that warrant further action.

Based on the information you have provided, your complaint appears to fall under the Department's rules. We will forward your complaint to the airline and ask the company to respond directly to you with a copy to us. Airlines are required to acknowledge receipt of a consumer complaint within 30 days and provide a substantive response to the complainant within 60 days. We will review the airline's response. If you need to contact me, please include your name and case number (see above).

If our review of your complaint and the response from the company discloses a potential violation of our rules, we may pursue enforcement action. Generally, we pursue enforcement action on the basis of a number of complaints which may indicate a pattern or practice of violating our rules. Your complaint may be among those considered and may lead to appropriate enforcement action including the assessment of civil penalties. However, we have no authority to order compensation for individual complainants.

We have entered your complaint in our computerized industry monitoring system, and it will be counted among the number of complaints filed against this airline in our monthly Air Travel Consumer Report. This report allows consumers and air travel companies to compare the complaint records of individual airlines and tour operators. The data in this report also serve as a basis for rulemaking, legislation and research. Consumer information for air travelers, including the Air Travel Consumer Report and our pamphlet Fly-Rights, a Consumer's Guide to Air Travel, can be found on our website: www.transportation.gov/airconsumer. Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Traditionally, WBR is done over the phone. According to the website, it says to call and request a "monetary review" if you feel your WBR is wrong.

Come corona, though, and everything changes. The agents I spoke to said that I must file an appeal. That is contrary to what the website says, but go figure.
And even with the appeal, did it work?
No one I know had success.

Is the old Amazon Prime sharing plan no longer going to be grandfathered?
I've had the old sharing plan grandfathered for a number of years and now I can no longer see the 4 other members listed on my account.
The Amazon reps are no help at all as they simply have no idea what the old plan was and can't see anyone associated with my account!
Bump.

Credit Cards / Re: Chase Sapphire Reserve

A friend of mine got his with $550 annual fee. Received the $100 for the reduced renewal.

Downgraded, Received a credit of $550 for downgrading and got to keep the credit of $100.
The $550 AF will probably be billed to him in about 2-3 months.

Did they upload their full return instead of just the Schedule C?
Just the schedule C.

We reached Cross River.
They said the issue was that the computer couldn't properly read the PDF uploads of the 6 months of bank statements. No idea why.
Usually, it would then move on to a manual review.
However, since it was so close to the deadline the application just stopped there and was denied.

Any talk of an extension of the PPP?

Two different people I know applied for a PPP loan with Cross River.
They are both self-employed (schedule C).
They both received a Statement of Credit Denial from Cross River for the same reason:

Reason for Denial: Unable to validate loan amount requested through documentation provided.

However, the application was done properly using their calculator.
Has anyone else been denied for this reason and what is there to do about it?
Thanks.
