*UPDATE*
after A LOT of back and forth with amex, turns out they had all the documentation they needed to file the damages CDW claim. they pushed it off 100xs saying they needed more. I was emailing and calling budget asking for more info and then would realize that i had the info i needed. also, we realized that amex needed to get someone to translate some of the paperwork.
they finally paid the 8k in damages.
the other 3k, was in dispute for almost 3 months. i think the ppl from the CDW department ended up helping my dispute for the 3k, saying that this 3k "diminishment" charge was BS and they eventually sided with me, taking the charge off.

so after getting into the accident in July, they eventually paid and covered everything about mid Feb.

loooooong crazy saga, but the moral of the story is, you needa be in it for the long haul, spend a lot of time, and pray. i got a decent, somewhat reasonable claims adjuster from amex. this would not have worked out well if i got someone that was more of a stickler or lazy.

this was the response:

tell us how you really feel....

I got raped by Budget in Israel with this “depreciation” scam not once, but TWICE. I’m out several thousand bucks as a result. 😡😡😡

I hope they swallow ground glass by accident, suffer miserably, and then burn in hell for eternity. (Yes, even if they’re Jewish.)

i got rear ended in israel in the summer. finally got all the documentation needed and claim finally went through. Amex is refusing to pay for "Diminishment of Value" which budget put down at over $3,000.
has anyone experienced this? if yes, got any advice on either fighting budget on this or getting amex to pay for it?

I returned a National rental with damage. I got a bill in the mail and I paid right away.

I then proceeded to open a claim with citi (the cc i used), but they wouldn't pay one specific charge: diminishment of value.

So I asked National to waive that particular charge, but they said because I paid already and the case was closed, they can't reopen it and refund me. Otherwise they would've waived it.

Most credit cards don't cover diminished value so before paying make sure to negotiate.

See below, only 3 days left to book group rates for Yeshiva Mid-Winter vacations at Camelback Resort.

The prices below are NOT MARKED UP for profit. Just a group that's gotten bigger over the years.

Questions on details of the terms of our rates should be directed to Camelback reservations @855-515-1283.

GROUP ID# 8043

The Deal: The terms are geared towards larger yeshiva families. Regular group rates come with an occupancy of 4 people per room, and it costs an additional $35-40 for guests 5 through 8. Additionally, these room rates are less than what's publicly available.

If they tell you the room only includes 4 people, tell them to have a supervisor read the terms of our group.

Seriously, some people are so miserable, they just look for ways to mess with other people. If you don't want this service, then shut up and move on. If you like it, great. Why the hell would someone report this to Groupon. Reporting him to groupon, for doing nothing wrong right before RH. Great job, to the Negative Nancy that is causing this trouble. Personally I don't do the whole letter in the wall shtick (I was there in August, didn't do it myself) but live and let live. These liberal lefties need to be in e/o else's business. GET A LIFE!

any truth to this?

I don’t know why people are bashing gg. If one of the Brooklyn stores opened here they wouldn’t do well at all. People here need a clean beautiful store with people helping them with what they need. There are options here to save money like Frankels and kolsave. They are not nearly as busy as Gourmet Glatt is.

what the heck are you saying? many (most?) 5t ppl need a more affordable option. kol save is a garbage store. purposely done that way. prices are spotty. they are not incentivized to make it a good cheap store like bk stores.

its a great business strategy. monopolies are quite profitable. im not saying i wouldn't do the same if i was him, but its crushing the community. I cannot wait for bingo or similar to demolish them.
