@ 6:50 mark . Rabbi Elefant says they are virtually impossible to Kasher.
very difficult to understand. Cast iron is one of the easiest metals to do a libun gamur on since it can withstand very high temps. I've kashered cast iron with libun gamur many times without any issues.

Just saw this. I thought from the title that they were serving pork or something. I've heard of similar stories in general not just by pesach.

hey, they could always serve Chipotle if they run out of food

Quote from: www.nhregister.com
Rabbi Jon-Jay Tilsen of Beth El-Keser Israel said in an email, “Any food purchased by crossing a picket line or from scab workers is not kosher for Passover.” He said it is “a matter of well-established Jewish law.”

ironic how a dormant 5 yes old profile bumped a dormant 5 year old   thread

This is what's brought down in the ב''י  as well. It seems clear from the Mordechai that יד סולדת משני עבריה & הקש נשרף worked about the same. (It seems clear that the Rem"a didn't agree with  יד סולדת משני עבריה but the Shulchan Aruch Harav did. The PM"G makes a 3rd level) but from the Mordechai it should be clear that kash nisraf can happen at below 440F

Destination Guides And Trip Planning / Re: Chicago Master Thread
« on: April 08, 2019, 09:28:35 AM »
I plan to do visit Chicago and the lakes for 7-10 days, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to tour the lakes and find the best places to see. Any advices?
Thanks :)
what are the Lakes? If you mean the 5 great lakes , only Lake Michigan is near Chicago . The others are hours away.
Lake Erie- hours away by Toledo/Cleveland/ Niagara
Lake Huron- 7 hours away northern michigan
Lake Superior- 5 hours away Northern Wisconsin/ UP Michigan
Lake Ontario- 10 hours

Seems pretty obvious, since AFAIK all IMPORTED meat needs to be certified and crew approved by Rabbanut. It might technically hold true for chicken which is slaughtered domestically. IDK.
that has nothing to do with Mehadrin. Everything has to be approved by the Rabbanut but Rabbanut Mehadrin has tbeir own shechitah

That's completely inaccurate. Rabbanut Mehadrin establishments can use Rubin and Eidah meats.
either provide an example or a source. My source is a department head in the Rabbanut

How meaningful is the meat being used if kitchen isn't supervised by "Rubin or Eidah"?
just saying that there's a reason .....
