I believe there is a cap.
Clever pun  ;)

Last year I spent around $8000.
I think there's a AMEX cash back card that gives back 6% on groceries. Factoring in the $75 annual fee, you'd get $405. NOt bad at all!

That's one difference. And even that is not set in stone. The other, perhaps more important difference, is that there is no official spending limit with a charge card.
...which means that utilization doesn't matter?

Excuse my ignorance but what's the difference?
NP. You're permitted to leave a balance on a Credit card, not a charge card.

Got the full 30000! And that was on top of the 2500 the first rep gave! 32500 total! Thanks for your help guys!
I'm jealous. I sent an SM and got nothing, called and got 5000. It's better than nothing, but a far cry from 30K.

Does anyone over here check their credit often? Who would you use? I'm looking to monitor my credit with with a company that gives the real Fico scores - I'm willing to pay :)
afaik, www.myfico.com is the only website that gives REAL fico scores.

How about buying groupon giftcards for the future, when they will bring out a deal you like?

What about gas?  My PRG card just got hit with annual fee and now that I'm about to cancel it, I was wondering which card would be best to use.
Chase Ink Classic gives 2 UR points for gas and has no annual fee.

I called main #. Was shot down after he realized that I "received the 100,000 points for signing up, the highest every offer, and quite exceptional!!"

Probably won't escalate.
100K? How'd you manage that?

so if i just asked for and got a 20k bonus for the CO card, should I hold off from SM'ing them for an additional 20k for the UA card/marriott card?

how long does it take for the miles to post?
No reason to hold off. Ask away.
The miles should post the next statement.
NOTE: You will need to use your card again in order to generate a statement. Otherwise, miles that they promise you will stay stuck in limbo until you use your card. Happened to me, so now I know.

You may want to consider freezing.
Doesn't freezing create it's own list of headaches?

this looks like  a biz card, no?

It certainly does. Interesting. When I go to Chase's credit card page, the only business cards that pop up for me is the Ink.

I never till now matched  the same income on all these cards, Is it a problem?

I doubt it. After all, people's income often changes.
Anyway, it hasn't been a problem for me.

yes, that tactic was tried but rejected by rep as not possible based on the housing costs are jointly shared by the couple.
Then I would advise the homemaker to take it slow. Don't go for the Sapphire Preferred yet. Go for a regular Sapphire. Then he/she have a foot in the door with chase.

EDIT: Maybe a Freedom card would serve better for openers, not sure.

Question regarding Chase reconsideration, for Sapphire Preferred, for someone who wrote down homemaker with less than 25k income was told that their financial obligations are greater than income (mortgage/rent payments) and application was deeclined, are there any other options for reconsideration?  Person has very good credit score but no other Chase CC to transfer credit from, any ideas?
Yes. Does the homemaker have a spouse with an income? That income can be included.
