I am trying to find a hotel in the Miami area for November. I would be staying over Shabbos, so I need it to be Shabbos friendly and within reasonable walking distance to a shul.

My wife has a hangup, that she will only reserve a hotel that the room can support my family. Meaning she does not want to count on joining rooms. So I would need a hotel that has two bedroom suits with at least a pull out couch.

While I would rather be on the water, I don't want to spend an arm and leg to do that (I saw Turnberry is a few thousand a night).

Any suggestions?

Thank you

EDIT: It looks like these hotels fit the criteria but are they shabbos friendly (can go in and out without problems on shabbos, and close to a shul)

 Sun Harbor Boutique
Fontaine Bleau
Grand Beach Hotel, Miami Beach
TRYP by Wyndham Miami Bay Harbor
Ritz Carlton Miami Beach

EDIT 2: I was looking at floridakoshervillas. The locations don't have addresses. Can anyone recommend one personally?

Does anyone know if there is kosher food (with a reliable hechsher) in the Hartford CT area?

Thank you

Credit Cards / Would you rather take a 5% discount or earn points?

If someone offered you a 5% discount on a 24k purchase for a check versus a credit card, what would you do? If it makes a difference, I have SPG and Chase points.

Thank you

Is there a place near the Jewish community to stay for Shabbos?
The bnb posted last page isn't available.
Thank you

I am thinking about flying from NYC area to YYZ.
Currently, tickets are about $200 round trip. I have a lot of points in Chase as well as Bonvoy. Is there a cheaper way to fly?

Credit Cards / Can I convert a legacy SPG Amex to Brilliant?
« on: November 21, 2019, 09:09:49 AM »
I currently have the old SPG credit card for Personal and Business.
Is there a business version of the Brilliant?
Am I able to convert it to the Brilliant without applying for a new credit card?
If yes, does it make sense to do it that way or should I apply for a new credit card? I have had my SPG for over 10 years now and I dont want to close it down and lose its credit history.

Thank you

What is the best way to monitor if a deal pops up between two particular cities? I used to follow dansdeals on twitter but I wasnt intersted in all the items on sale. I am looking for flights, and particular flights between NYC and Toronto. Any ideas?

What is the benefit of going with the Plat for over $5k?

So if the $250k in purchases will be done within the first year, and I do not want to open a credit card just for the sign up bonus and a second one for the purchases. What would be the best way to do it?

Thank you

Can I convert the Preferred into the unlimited after I get the bonus points?

Thank you. I can get that even though I have an Ink business plus on my other business name?  The new credit card is being used for construction purposes and then long term for minor business expenses. So I am expecting it to spend about $250k over the next few months and then $5 - $10k per year.

Is the Ink preferred good just because of the signup bonus or is it good for long term use as well? Thank you

I need to open up a new credit card for a new business. What is the best one for me to go with? My other cards are currently: Ink Bold, Amex Plat, Amex SPG (business and personal), Saphire Preferred and JP Morgan Reserve.

Re the recommended card, is there any good sign up bonus for it currently? Or should I wait a bit.

Thank you

Thank you. Quick question. With my current luxury credit cards (amex plat, JP Morgran Reserve), do any of them give me any status with Hyatt? If not is there a benefit of transferring more points in to get the elite status for this stay? I would be doing two days so already 60K points.

Thank you

Transfer 30K points to Hyatt and stay at the PH.
That would be from UR points? Do you know how long it takes to transfer?

Thank you

At two nights it comes out to be 120,000 points plus about $100. Is that considered a good value for the points? Is there a different hotel that is a btter value?

Tha nkyou
