Why is this a "scam?" It's more like a "bait and switch."

He's a psychopath and a thief.so you think BB is lying and really is involved in this? I realize that the writing style is similar, but there are a lot of people who write poorly.
Didn't receive anything yet (talking for my friends too) which card did you use and y are they making you issues?I used a Fidelity credit card. They are still investigating. They issued me a provisional credit, but can still claw it back.
From the looks of this thread, it may be a fakeI think it's more likely that this whole business is a ponzi scheme than them selling fake wine. It would be very hard to sell fake fine. At the same time, their margins must be razor thin or non-existent.
What I could care less of the history of the guy .. ?I'm sorry but this assessment doesn't make too much sense. You don't care who do business with? You would continue to deal with someone you know to be dishonest? I realize that people love disputing charges with the credit card companies, but you are actually potentially causing them a loss when you do so. If you didn't know beforehand that's one thing. But if you know before you place the order that you will likely need to dispute the charge, you are just helping the proprietor cheat people.
We all know that when you order from them you will wait forever to actually receive your order .. if not they will refund, and worse case you will have to dispute the charge.
Don't take me wrong, it's a nightmare to buy something and wait forever to get it, and to have a 0 customer service at all and to email someone that respond you almost automatically ..
But he's record !? I don't give a dime.
No matter what I always double check all my statement and suggest everyone to do the same. Doesn't change from whom you are buying or witch website.
Same here bb@goempirewine.combb is Brandon Belmonte.
Just noticed the email address that they returned my email with is @goempirewine.com .... pretty strangeI'm not sure of the exact details of their operation but their website orders are fulfilled from several different stores. Empire and Pinnacle are 2 of the stores I frequently get emails from. And then there's Brandon Belmonte. I'm not sure what his role is in all of this....
Count me in.. I would love to get my order. They have been answering my emails as well. That would be a good sign under normal circumstances. These aren't normal circumstances. As previosly pointed out, 6 weeks to delivery becomes "no delivery" very quickly. After all, we started at about 2 weeks delivery. That was before they expanded their delivery operation.
When I email them they're answering pretty quickly..
