Loong story... ill try my best to keep it short

I had ordered from red heifer 4 shabbat meals (for 2 people) and like half of their reg menu for shabbat, i got confirmation... Thursday  they said they got the order and will deliver with hot plate. Comes Friday morning i call to see when they will come no answer i called about a million times emailed left msgs no answer.
My in laws are good friends with druk, so I tried them and they gave the owners # (who only speaks Hebrew) back and forth they Couldn't find my order, so he told me that he will send 2 shabbat meals and hot plate... half hour later i get the food and it looked like it went thru a war no challa no hot plate barely enough for 1/2 person to eat 1 meal which was good because the food was literally unedible...(rant rant rant...) so if haven't noticed i was fedup with red heifer.
Now on to ember grill,
Went 1st time moitzei shabbat they are officially open but they had some kind of event so the kitchen was pretty much closed for customers, they did offer us a few dishes which were really tasty fresh and good (we were the only ones in the restaurant was pretty cool) they could add some more wine tho...
Went again Sunday night ordered pretty much everything and it was all really good ( ill send pics and my favorites) being a crazy steak guy they had to make it twice for me, it was decent nothing to compare on what u get in US ( wasn't expecting that ).
Thanks for the detailed report

Went mid-February during the week, so not addressing Shabbos or winter vacation madness. Visited each restaurant once.

Red Heifer - was somewhere between good to great in terms of food, everything else was nice. Price was fair.

Ember - the food was a bit better than RH, and price was fair, but the service was an absolute disaster. Ignoring us, bringing wrong items, long wait, despite not being overly busy. It was bad enough that I regret going there.
Thanks!

I may be interested. Is it still available? Is there a confirmed minyan?

Where is solterra resort?
Solterra is one of the bigger resorts in Davenport. Next to the rest of them. It has a lazy river and plenty of minyonim

Anyone else notice that Delta now allows up to 9 gift cards per transaction?
On their website?

Thanks. I have 2 months to figure it out.

I saw rumors about the train starting to run 24 hours, on the hour in  middle of the night, by the time you come they may start that.
Thanks. I checked that date on their website, and as of today it shows 830 first train.... I do hope it changes.

OK, my flight is scheduled to land at 3:35 AM. what are the chances i have an option besides
a) a one way rental
b) a taxi

both of which cost a lot more than i want to spend on it.
I have a similar request.
Landing at 2:35 AM on May 21
Alone only one suitcase.
No trains until 8:30 and don't want to spend the $200 on a cab.
Hope I'll find someone to split at that hour.

I didn't even eat at red Hiefer and I consider then the worst resturant ever. Jacked up prices for worse food during Yeshiva week. Hard pass.
I disagree. Ate there many meals. Happy to get a hot meal on vacation.

Not a 5 star but definitely not the worst either.

The article says this latest case was in the hotel zone... As did prior articles from the Post (Daily News?).
Not on the actual strip. In a bar 3 miles away.

On the block with all the hotels is pretty safe. Imho

FS doesn't have a casino, so totally different experience
If casino isn't a factor.
More important is pool and room quality.

Which hotel would be the best choice for a couple just going to relax at the pool.

Status if that makes a difference:
TR and Wyndham diamond
Hilton and Bonvoy Gold plus
