General Discussion / Re: Mosquito repellent recommendation please
« on: October 16, 2019, 08:43:23 AM »
I hired Lawn Doctor to do a spray a week before Succos. It was amazing. no mosquitos at all.
I will be hiring them all season to treat the yard for mosquitos. was $95+tax per treatment. they recommended 5 treatments for the whole season.

Looking at the following flights all on the same day:

SW 64000 (would pull from UR) on 737-7
Delta 80,000 (would pull from amex plat) coach -would have to pay $150 for luggage round trip ERJ 175
Avios 132000 (sitting in the avios account) in biz class to get free bags on ERJ 175
avios 66000 (sitting in avios account) in coach would have to pay $150 for luggage round trip on ERJ 175

I could use amex travel credit for the baggage fee. Or I could save it for another flight.
Flight is 2.5 hours.
Flight is with 2 young children.

Trying to decide which bottle to get next:
Glengoyne 21
Old Pulteney 17
Glenfarclas 25

I have never had either of those 3 before.
Leaning to the Pulteney because I have never had anything from their distillery yet. While I like the Glengoyne 15, 10 and nas bottle and the Glenfarclas 105, 12 and 15 none were all that amazing.
Other recommendations welcome: max budget $140ish

Anyone buying? Give me an offer
follow the rules... Can we get a suspension? like 4 days locked out of a topic as a penalty for non-rules following posting.

definitely use the Marriott. MT points are worth a LOT less than CSR points
Thank you!

Which is the best way to book:
Same hotel- same dates- same room type.
210,000 - Marriott points
185,000 - CSR points

curveball - with gold elite "status" is booking with Marriott the better option so that we could potentially get "upgraded" even though we are already upgrading to a mid tier room level?

Go to costco and get gift cards or buy regular items in bulk - I recall Mark Cuban once saying he has cases of toothpaste in his house because it doesnt expire.

What about buying cases of wine/scotch to keep and enjoy when the time comes.
buy sports tickets and resell them on 2nd hand sites.
buy children's teachers end of yr gifts. pre-buy camp counselor gifts.

When it was originally posted it was active.  But that doesn't really matter. the question was has anyone booked straight from  Is it safe, and reliable?  No matter what the flight or prices are.
You are aware that you're booking a flight on an airlines website. FLY is a search tool.

Credit Cards / Re: Misc Credit Card Questions
« on: March 15, 2019, 09:15:09 AM »
Which credit card should I open (or decide between) for a business (NY/NJ area) that needs to buy a lot of gas for many vehicles?
We have amex plat biz, ink prefered, Ink cash, Amex Gold & another amex plat biz. Or should we be using one of the ones we have had opened for 3+yrs (all cards have been opened and used for 3+ yrs and are used regularly)

(should we consider opening a shell card and go directly for the "fuel rewards" program)
