Thank you for your response :)

The problem is that I can't use Travelbank to pay for my ticket first and then cancel it to get ETC.

That's why I was asking for advice :)

Thank you!

Hello,

I want to book a flight on United.

I have a $100 ETC and $200 on United Travelbank.

However, when I go to payment, Travelbank is unavailable.

I was wondering what would be the process to be able to use the $300 I have to pay for my next flight.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

But he can't fly to israel because of the quarantine so he needs to fly to another airport first (like Amman for example).

Do you think they would do it as well then?

Do you know the procedure for it?

Any airline that you think could provide that "service"?

It does not seem to be official yet. They don't seem to deliver tourist visa.

Any travel agency you could recommend?

He only has an Israeli passport (not US) and my understanding is that Emirates or other airlines might not allow him to board their flight.

Hello,

I have a friend in New York who only has an Israeli passport (no US passport) and would like to fly to Dubai next week. Do you know if he can do that without going to Israel (he wants to avoid the quarantine)?

Thank you for help!

Thoughts on this offer? Is it worth it?

Is it useful for Star Alliance flights?

Thank you and stay safe :)

Up In The Air / Issue with finding AA award on BA.com
« on: November 11, 2019, 03:31:26 PM »
Hello everyone,

I hope all is well :)

I have a saver award on AA that I have been trying to buy on BA.com. These awards don't show up anymore on BA.com.

Any idea what happened here? Is it worth calling?

Thank you for your feedback!

Hello,

I just moved to Brazil and I am looking to discuss with fellow Dansdeals members who has some expertise on the jeito in Brazil:
- What are the best credit cards in Brazil
- How to open a bank account as a foreigner
- What miles should I accumulate

Thank you!

For missing a flight due to traffic?

Agreed. Not sure how you can justify it.

But ideas are welcome for next time :)

But I never take insurance. A credit card could cover that?

Thanks!

Hello everyone :)

I wanted to fly from GRU to LIM with LATAM and it took me 3.5h to get to GRU because of awful traffic. I missed my flight. I took it with BA miles for a LATAM flight. When I asked LATAM, they said they can't put me on next flight. When I asked BA, they said they did not see any flight available (only accessing flights with miles).

They considered it a no show and seemed very strict about it.

I was able to get another flight Avianca with United miles but I was wondering if there was a way to be put on the next flight next time.

Your thoughts are appreciated :)

JM
