I think it would be very helpful and efficient for all the items to be listed in one central location instead of throughout a 20 page thread, so I created the spreadsheet below for the listings. I only listed my items on it, but it's open to be edited for anyone else to add theirs. In addition, any potential purchasers can now sort by brands, sizes, colors, etc...

+1 thanks!

Great TR! I already forwarded the link to a few non-DDF friends trying to plan trips to Cancun!

Thanks, and I hope it was helpful to them.

Double Like Given!

Thanks!

Only way out is to bring Printed PROOF from your credit card that you have primary insurance for car rentals thru your credit card.

Didn't know that. Seemed Dan also paid for insurance on his trip (http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/61187).

wow thanks for the TR well written and allot of info.

Thanks. Appreciate the feedback and glad you enjoyed.

First, excellent TR. You must write professionally, or do a lot of writing in whatever you do. Extremely clear, well-punctuated, flowed well.  Great job!

...

Last, I loved the point the OP made about the chef having to deal with everyone's variations on kashrut. I actually laughed out loud. Thanks, again!

Thank you. I'm actually an attorney. There are a number of typos and extra commas etc, but I didn't have time to properly edit. I was going to incrementally edit after posting but didn't realize that's not possible.

I just felt so bad for the guy. He was trying so hard to be helpful but is going to get so confused as time goes on.

Great TR

Thanks, so glad you enjoyed.

Nice TR. Thanks for sharing!

My pleasure. Thanks for the positive feedback.

Never understood the public opinion of that place. It was so mediocre.

One guy told me they have the absolute best food in South America. Turns out he wasn't only wrong about the geography.
Did you ever try Menfis?

Very enjoyable TR!

Should have listened to me about Luxus and ordered from Chabad :)

Thank you and glad you enjoyed!
I was swayed by the magnitude of public opinion to the contrary. Now I know that that's still a mistake.
By the way, the Fairmont is undergoing a renovation.

impressive and informative TR!

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed.

What are peoples favorite/best-priced all inclusive hotel in the region?

Hyatt Zilaria seems to be high on that list. Never stayed there, but heard excellent things from a number of people.

Great TR with detail, thanks for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed!

Saw this and had to respond.  We were there for mid-winter break (1/19 to 1/26) and brought the pan, utenstils and oneg cheese.  We brought two packages and had one left over.  Chefs were really nice.  Executive/head chef went out of his way...

And I told him about lighting the flame... hilarious....

Glad you were able to make use of the cheese...

That's awesome. Pleasure to meet you, and thanks! You truly enhanced our trip. I guess the Oneg cheese was too good to be true. But it's good to know the hotel wont mind if future guests bring their own cheese.
