Per my understanding from locals I spoke to, everything is closed literally everything. Malls, attractions, etc. Even things that are open are only open with strict terms. And every day of the week has different rules.
Correct.  See

Is South Beach in the Eiruv and is there anywhere to get prepaid shabbos meals?
Most of it's in the Eiruv, you can check the map.
I ate Shabbat at Chabad of Lincoln Road, very enjoyable

Charge using Avios one-way TLV-LHR is USD 59 in Y and USD 67 in C.
LHR-TLV is much more expensive (esp in C) due to UK taxes.

Note that taxes quoted in first screen are unreliable, you need to click through to booking screen to see 'real' taxes.

From what I understand there was no legal framework in place to force people into hotels.
Also - they want to force travellers to pay for their quarantine. In order to do this - passengers need to agree in advance and sign accordingly

Chillul hashem.

BTW, over 50% of Corona patients in almost all hospitals in Israel are chareidi. Six of the top 7 corona hotspots in ISrael are chareidi. Litzman wants to put a lockdown on Bnei Brak.

in the whole wide world there is at the moment only 1 flight in the air that is coming from or landing at TLV
Not surprising. There are only 4 international flights departing the whole of tomorrow (and the Moscow one will probably be cancelled). TLV is essentially shut down.

COVID-19 Discussion Board / Re: EL AL Travel Waiver

Just got in that boat. What's the easiest way to contact them for refund

Best to WhatsApp on +972  3-977-1111

See https://www.elal.com/en/About-ELAL/About-ELAL/News/Pages/Corona-Feb2020.aspx

Ignore the incorrect links to WhatsApp on both Hebew website (with 5 1's) and English website (with 3 1's). There should be 4 1's...

Will Israel's ban on gatherings of more than 100 people affect yeshivos, schools etc. that have more than 100 people learning in the same room?

My shul (in Modiin) is already making arrangements to split up minyanim - 3-4 parallel on Friday night (some in houses), 2 parallel for weekday shacharit etc etc.

Does anyone know of a place in golders green who would deliver chocolate?
Not in Golders Green, but I have ordered from ripegifts.co.uk a couple of times and have always been happy with quality and price. Note that they have both kosher and non-kosher hampers, clearly marked.

« on: January 12, 2020, 08:11:56 AM »
If I fly EL AL, to what other airlines mileage programs can I have my miles credited to?
(I used to credit to American Advantage but not sure that is still an option.)
Thanks.
