It appears to self apply. Even while you get the error mssg when attempting to apply the promo, there's a message below the cart total that says something to the effect of eligible for messaging promo. Don't recall the exact now, but definitely saw it in my cart.

Yeah now it lists TLV as the destination

whatever the reason they didnt put in TLV as destination, i guess isnt that big of a deal, because now its gotta fly back.
wonder what the route back will be

You can't fly over Saudi to Israel without pre-approval

air india does.
i would think getting that permission is less complicated than flying over iraq and syria en-route to tlv
i doubt syria gave them permission
