Where is the best place to find $500 gift cards? Would CVS or Costco or Walmart have them?
Also, can I just buy $3000 worth of gift cards in one day - and that will do the trick?

Thanks again, everyone.

I just got busy and forgot about it and now the deadline is upon me. Normally I can spend the minimum within the timeframe specified...

Unfortunately that won't work due to my rent setup situation. Any other ideas?

Thanks! I have a week left to get to $3,000, and I see that I can only spend $1000 using my Amex. What about the other $2k - any suggestions?

"Serve"? Sorry, can you please explain, or link to a post that addresses this? These are Starwood cards.

Credit Cards / Spending the Minimum

Hi all. What's the latest and greatest way to quickly spend the 3,000 minimum? Ideally, so I could get the cash back quickly to pay that selfsame credit card bill. I'd prefer not to buy Amz giftcards and such.

Thanks so much!

Up In The Air / Using Points to fly Ukraine/Israel?
« on: December 30, 2012, 12:16:03 AM »
Hey all, I've got a trip in the works - we need to fly, from New York, to Ukraine for a week, and then on to Israel, and back to NY. I've got points with a few different airlines, and a bunch of Starwood points which I guess I could transfer wherever. Any recommendations which airlines to use? That I could easily transfer Starwood points to? I went on the AA site, and I think I could book a flight through them, but it looks like it'd be via British Airways, which has real high taxes, not ideal...

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
-Jake

Hi everyone, many thanks for your help so far.
So the issue is that I got two stop overs on my overseas round trip - one in Kiev, one in London.
I just checked Aeroplan and they don't have times/dates that work, and also checked Delta and it's really pricey
I don't have a ton of points, but some on my goldcard... any recommendations which airline to go with?

Any recommendations for a really good travel agent? (I have a trip across the ocean coming up with two pit stops, and gotta plan it right...) Btw, are travel agents ever open to using points? Many thanks!
