Credit Cards / Re: Chase Bonuses - how much time must pass?

So this is across the board for all Sapphire cards?  48 months since you had the card last or 48 months since you received the bonus?

Credit Cards / Chase Bonuses - how much time must pass?
« on: March 04, 2019, 04:42:05 PM »
The last time I applied for a Sapphire card and received the bonus was in August 2015.  I later downgraded my Sapphire cards to Freedom cards, so I don't currently have any Sapphire cards and haven't applied for new ones in over 3 years.  I just tried applying for a new Reserve card and was denied because I got the bonus in the lats 48 months.  Since when is there a 4 year wait in between getting the same card?  Has anyone else had this issue or any ideas of a way around it?

Calling it a fan club makes it sound like a bunch of little kids are running this. You should have them change that to something a bit more mature.

Honestly you should have a lawyer running point on this and if a lawyer made that doc you should fire him and find a new one.

I think it was an small attempt at humor in an otherwise very upsetting situation, but point heard and the name was changed.

There is a lawyer involved. But in order to move forward with many of the steps that are being taken, we are gathering information from anyone who has been scammed or robbed by this person. Anyone who this applies to should feel free to respond to the form or PM for more info and we will fill you in.

The goals here are to both try and recover money, and to publicize this criminal as much as possible so that others do not get harmed.

Credit Cards / Re: Travel protection only if trip booked with credit card?
« on: December 12, 2016, 08:02:49 PM »
Just found this on the fine print of Chase Sapphire benefits:

What is Trip Cancellation insurance?
Trip Cancellation insurance reimburses you or your Immediate Family
Members for up to ten thousand ($10,000.00) dollars for each
Covered Trip if a Covered Loss prevents you or your Immediate Family
Members from traveling on or before the departure date and results in
cancellation of the travel arrangements.
If any or all of the Covered Trip was paid for using redeemable
Rewards, the Company will reimburse the Insured Person for Rewards
used. The Companyís reimbursement shall equal the monetary value
of the redemption through the Common Carrier, Tour Operator, Travel
Agency, or Travel Supplier up to the Benefit Amount. If the monetary
value of the redemption does not appear on the Insured Personís
itinerary or redemption confirmation issued by the Common Carrier,
Rewards program manager, Tour Operator, Travel Agency, or Travel
Supplier the Company will reimburse the Insured Person ($.01) per
point redeemed up to the Insured Personís Benefit Amount.

It looks like if you purchased with points, they'd be refunded that way too.  Is that correct?

Credit Cards / Travel protection only if trip booked with credit card?
« on: December 12, 2016, 07:35:35 PM »
Does one only have travel protection benefits from a credit card if the trip is booked with the card itself - or would you have the travel benefits just by being a cardholder?  What if only part of the trip was booked using a card?  For example, if a flight was purchased through Chase points, but a hotel was purchased with the Sapphire Preferred, would someone have trip protections for the flight portion (like delayed flight, lost baggage, etc) - if that portion wasn't purchased with the Sapphire Preferred card?

Your name says it all.... lol!

It has been removed for obvious reasons.

Is there somewhere else I can find this information about how to get the credit through Delta?

Go read this thread and the $200 Amex Credit thread.

Can you link to the thread you're referring to? I can't find information on how to get the $200 credit via a Delta purchase.

(1.3*4.5*6000)-(1.3*2.4*6000)=$167.

Your call.

What do the numbers 1.3, 4.5, and 2.4 represent here?

Do you do more then 30 swipes a month?

I do.  Is it worth it in that instance for $95/year?  Assume $3,000/month average with more than 30 swipes.

Anybody?  Can really use some help for the post above.

My Everyday Preferred card just hit it's $95 annual fee.  I can't decide if it's worth it to keep it or downgrade to the Everyday card.  I do spend $6,000 on groceries a year, but I don't use the card for gas station (I use a different business card).  I also usually sell my points and don't use them myself.  Assume I'm spending an average of $3,000 a month on the card.

Any advice on if it's financially worth the annual fee based on the information I just gave.
