Destination Guides And Trip Planning / Justfly Issues
« on: November 25, 2015, 08:52:32 PM »
Hi,

I recently booked an international flight via Kayak/Justfly. Got a confirmation email from Justfly right away. Three days later I got another email from them saying my reservation was canceled. When I called they were unhelpful and had no reason why it was canceled.
The flight went up in price over 2k!
Any suggestion what I can do at this point?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Up In The Air / Booking on Delta through partner
« on: July 30, 2014, 10:21:22 PM »
Hi,

I am looking to fly from NYC to Pisa Italy, and returning from Venice to NYC.
The only direct flights for the dates I need is on Delta. However it is 130k. I need two tickets.
I was wondering if there is a delta partner that I can use to book delta flights for less miles?

My only other options are flying with a stopover. At that route there are flights with Lufthansa, and Alitalia. I have plenty of Amex MR points.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Up In The Air / Re: Flying to Antwerp-Infants Turning 2 During The Trip

@Smart Brit
Thanks for all your input thus far.
Perhaps you misunderstood, only if I fly another airline - other then BA - first class would I not fly first class the way back - as I would have to buy 2 first class tickets for my daughters. However, if I do somehow manage to get availability on BA for first class, I will of course fly first class both ways - as they will not require me to get 2 extra seats for my daughters (as  mentioned previously, they turn 2 during the trip). Is there any hope?

With Brussels airlines its 790 direct leaving Thu Sep 27 return Oct 11 and u earn mileage on star alliance.
With ba there is no way around it unless you are a gold member there could be more availability but try searching to London only and see if there are available flights
Not a gold member :-(
If there is available to london first class how would that help?
This first class idea is growing on me. If I cannot get trough ba, can't I transfer my Starwood or chase rewards point instantly to an airline and book first class? If yes, which airline would you recommend? (if not ba, I will most likely book first class the way there, and 4 coach tickets the way back...).

Would you happen to know what airline would be my best bet, and about what prices are?
Also, I'd ba.com is not showing first class available, is there any way around that?

Thanks @abee

@Smart Brit
I looked for a first class flight, but there does not seem to be any available on BA.com through mileage... I do not have an Iberia account.
In addition, there does not seem to be any available direct flights using BA.com or AA.com

Thanks JKHein for that useful info!

So taking into account that BA will not require return tickets for the twins, is flying BA the best way to go? Also, just realized I have a free companion ticket on BA, so I can purchase 1 ticket with Miles, and have all four of us free? I know there is a lot of taxes, is it still worth it?

If selling the miles and buying tickets is the way to go, then I am definitely open to that idea. Direct would be great but not mandatory.
Because I'm not sure which way/airline is the best way, I am asking you guys for any suggestions.

Up In The Air / Flying to Antwerp-Infants Turning 2 During The Trip
« on: September 03, 2012, 11:31:25 PM »
Hi,

I'm looking to fly to Antwerp (BRU) for Sukkos. My wife and I and our twin daughters - who will IYH turn 2 years old during Sukkos.
I have 250,000 British Airways Miles, 144,000 American Airlines miles, 110,000 Starpoint, and 95,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards.

Looking at the dates, it only makes sense to leave Motzei Yom Kippur - the 26th of Sept. and come back on the 10th or 11th of Oct.

Was wondering if anyone can help/recommend the best route to go about this. Not sure at all about the whole international tax, and the babies turning 2 during travel stay - so the way back do we need tickets for them...?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Wanted to take wife out for a night in Manhattan (or any other nice place in NYC). Was thinking of going to a nice restaurant, (maybe a Broadway show, or any other nice/enjoyable/romantic thing to do) and then a starwood hotel - all within walking distance one from the other. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?
