General Discussion / Re: Stocks

It's a very interesting earnings season while usually a stock will go up after a good earnings report right now it seems that it can actually go down. For example Microsoft had that great earnings report yesterday and the stock went down. The reason for this seems to be that the stock price is hyped up so much ahead of earnings in anticipation of the earnings and it leaves no room for expansion. And now after earnings when there is no hype and just facts there's no momentum

I haven't done Tesla straddles in a while but just a heads up options tend to be expensive in the week or so leading up to earnings. Unless there's some huge surprise, you tend to see very little to no movement on a straddle purchased so close to earnings.
I posted the price. It's $200. The stock gotta move $200 and you break even. Don't you think tesla will move $200? If it indeed beats earnings and posts a profit, it will join the s&p and the stock will go up (at least for a short period of time) to 1800+. If it misses it will go down to 1200 or lower.

Anyone into long straddles?

Who is in for tesla? By the money puts and calls together are about $20k for 2 contracts. (1 call for 10k and 1 put for 10k)

I think with earnings this week it's a no brainer! Free money!

Who is in?

Is there any thread discussing the advantages of Amex Corporate cards? I have a friend who got an invitation to apply for it. Something I remember that it doesn't have some of the options / benefits that the regular Plat has. Can someone enlighten me?

Check out tesla now...

Is it going to 50k?

From what I understand that's a tough one, unless there's a specific close family reason. (Obviously, the Israeli citizen will be allowed in, but unless she has a positive PCR test followed by a negative PCR test, she will need to quarantine for 14 days, and won't even be allowed on a return flight before the 14 days are over, unless special permission is granted).
Thank you. If the husband has a positive and negetive pcr would it help for him as well?

Israeli citizen who got married in israel to boy from Canada they have israeli marriage license and lived there for 2 years but have been living in the US for the past 2 years. Can they get ishur to enter Israel?

Wonder which country it originated from?
Deserves a thread on its own.

Didn't follow the news here in a while.
